Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong has produced his son's debut album.
The frontman has produced his son Joey's band Emily's Army's debut album which will also be released his label Adeline Records.
The album, entitled "Don't Be A Dick", is set for release on June 14.
Describing Emily's Army, Armstrong told Spin, they have: "a lot of youthful punk rock attitude. They're raw. It's well played, has great hooks and is catchy as hell."
Meanwhile, Green Day played a surprise gig as the curtain came down on the Broadway production of "American Idiot" last month.
The tracklisting for "Don't Be A Dick" is:
01. Broadcast This 02. Strictly For The Birds 03. Asslete 04. Rom Drom 05. Little Face 06. Ho-lloween 07. West Coast 08. Statutory Brainrape 09. Burn Apollo 10. The Gutter 11. Regan Macneil 12. I Wanna Be Remembered 13. Bad Cop 14. Loch Lomond
good stuff, kinda makes me mad how they get a free ride, while other of us kid musicians, have to work our way to the top. But other than that, its pretty sweet.
....I honestly can't think of what to say.... Billy seems like a god father to help his sons band like that. I bet they'll get a better start than my band is getting lolz.

Benefits of your dad working his ass off to get where he is now...

If that's not a demo, Billie Joe Armstrong isn't a very good producer. I've heard better sounding demos self-produced by people from bands in the 80's who have no recording experience.
Also, I didn't musically enjoy that. Well, okay... musically it wasn't bad -- lyrically/vocally, it ****ing sucked.
Terrible production and shitty, stupid songs...And they basically sound like they're trying to sound like green day, haha ****ing lame...GTFO of my internet god damnit!

Wow. Ignorant, much?
not as ignorant as this comment.....
Enlighten me, please? I guess you think all punk sounds the same, too?
I wasn't expecting to enjoy it from looking at them but yeah, they have potential. Reminds me of the new-wave of punk that comes from America: Bouncing Souls, Rancid, Social Distortion etc.

LOL whether all punk sounds the same or not, it's still a horrid genre filled with horrible songs and terrible musicians who make it all on image you sensitive idiots.

That's why we all remember what Patti Smith, Richard Hell, Dead Kennedys, the Clash, the Germs, the Adicts, the Misfits, etc all look like.
Oh wait. You probably don't. And to say all punk musicians are terrible is also ignorance.

Studded belt? Who wears those? And you call ME retarded?
alright i haven't heard the song yet
but i do really wanna say thats true that many of the people around here just says that punk musicians are *******s or worhtless band just because they dont use riffs complex as hell or huge amazing solos and thats be a headstrong (fot not say something worst) so.....im going to hear and them crash them if they're not good....well its true its just more of the same such a shame that there are so few bands that have they own sound and so many "wannabe-bands"
Just because punk music isn't complex or hard to play doesn't mean it isn't good music. It's all about creativity and expression of feelings. I mean I'd rather listen to Zeppelin or Floyd any day, but just sayin.

ignorant prick
Well, regardless of that album and it's irrelevance to this recording, as far as audio quality, this song sounds like shit. The actual song is a completely different issue.
That's like saying Grown Ups isn't a shitfest of a movie just because Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore aren't.
Just because you would suck him off doesn't make everything he touches turn to gold.
