Universal Music will re-release Guns N' Roses' classic debut album "Appetite For Destruction" on vinyl. The LP is due on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 and the cover features the controversial original artwork by Robert Williams.

This is what they do.....they release a 20 yr old record instead of releasing the one thats ment to be coming out. They done the same thing in 2004 by releasing a greatest hits album instead of chinese democracy that was apparently finished back then.

I dont think we will ever see chinese democracy on the shelfs, i love guns n roses but i really cant be bothered with all this crap about this album, its dragged on for 10 years.

This just seems pointless, there not even changing anything, it was already released on Vinyl. Also the person who wrote this article can't pretend to be a Gnr fan when they can only name the 3 songs they released which in no way sum up the album as a whole.

The record company has to put out something, to help pay for axls 12 years in the studio!! i would since chinese depressing or whatever its called will probibly take another 5 years

Jackass, learn to read. Its the product discription from the site. He didn't write it. And on another note, yeah it was originally released on Vinyl, but unless you notice, it's kind of damn hard to get your hands on a copy. I think it's a great idea, personally. Go pms somewhere elsewhere.

I'd imagine that they're only releasing this to fulfill some obligation to the record company, the 13 million spent on Chinese Democracy probably isn't that big a problem for Axl.

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR YEARS!! i love this and hate it at the same time. i've wanted an original copy of appetite for years and now they are re-releasing this. the value of those collector's items just dropped about $1000

The Greatest Hits album came out in '04 because Axl hadn't finished Chinese Democracy, the album is done now, and I believe this vinyl is being released by a seperate party.

Actually the original had a sticker on the cover which said it had some profanity in the lyrics. This has been re-released over the years so if you find a copy without the sticker, it's not an original.
