Guns N' Roses 'Chinese Democracy' Limited Deluxe Box Set Due Next Month

Geffen Records has set a December 15 UK release date for a limited deluxe box set edition of Guns N' Roses' new album, "Chinese Democracy". In addition to the full-length CD, the package includes a T-shirt, bandana, patch, belt buckle and key ring.

Early U.S. sales reports suggest that "Chinese Democracy", which was released through an exclusive deal with the Best Buy chain, might not be the blockbuster the industry had hoped for, according to The New York Times.

Sales figures will not be available until next week, but early estimates put the first-week total at 300,000 copies (including a reported 25,000 downloads at iTunes on November 23 not counted towards the opening week for the Sunday release) — roughly 50,000 more than the opening number registered by "Contraband", the 2004 debut from Velvet Revolver, which features in its ranks Rose's former Guns N' Roses bandmates Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum.

Kanye West's new album, "808s And Heartbreak", will be No. 1 on next week's Billboard chart with a total that looks to be between 450,000 and 500,000.

Kanye beat Axl Rose not Guns N Roses you can't beat something that doesn't exist anymore.

Guns N' Roses ended in 1996.

They would be 50,000 copies ahead at 550,000 copies if you add Slash,Duff and Matt to Axl's band.

Contrabands 250,000 copies and Chinese Democracy's 300,000.

Imagine what a real GNR record with most of the original members that would fetch 550,000+ maybe a million if everybody knew it was real in advance since they knew the rest of the band was making sure it was out!.

Or just based on statistics so far. Kanye had to deal with his mother dying and separating from his fiancee, and still managed to put out an album. Axl had 13 years and multiple tantrums and still produced by most accounts, a mediocre overestimation of his own abilities.

And a bit rich to call Kanye West arrogant in relation to Axl Rose, who pretty much f*cking invented arrogance.

so it's not like axl went through a ton of shit as well. when he was with erin everly and she was carying their kid but erin suffered miscarage. can't explain what it is like losing a child. plus being sued by former friends & band mates doesn't help much each. but to call axl album medicore is just arrogant. heres unwanted truth sorry but slash isn't just guns n roses. lets go back in time after the tsi.lets say what happened to van halen happen with them kicking out their lead singers. everyone in gnr is still at that point being slash, gilby, duff and sorum. axl has been fired. they put out a new album under gnr banner but there is no axl. people would bitch about axl not being there and even going so far as saying axl is gnr's voice. what i am getting at is get over slash and the other not being there. they have all moved on. in all honesty don't take anything away from the new players in gnr. it takes a long time to learn an entire catalog. get over the fact they aren't in gnr and actually listen to chinese democracy. in my opinion chinese democracy is one of the best album i have heard in a long time. btw i am pretty big gnr fan. for the record axl didn't create arrogance in rock n roll the sex pistols did. imo kayne west is quite overrated. i don't recall hearing or seeing axl throw a tandrum at any music awards about no winning an award.

I dont understand why people ar hating on The others. By the way OzZY-RuLE5!!!!! its Izzy Stradlin' not gibly. The band ,in my opinion, doesn't exist cause axl is an egomaniac with no real talents, whereas every former memeber is still goin strong. He's the only unsuccesful one out of the group. He broke up one of the best bands in the world in the 80s,in my opinion. So stop saying "Axl is Guns N' Roses" cause he's not. They all made GnR what it was. If one is not there (exlcuding Steven Adler cause they carried on without him) then its not GnR. I agree with SlashWannabe1, GnR died in 1996.
