Head Sheds Light On New Album

Brain "Head" Welch, former Korn guitarist, has made an new update about his Album for God on his new website www.headtochrist.com

"Finally my album is almost done. When I first went solo I was trying to go for an industrial new age synth sound, but that got old quick. I have now thrown away all of the synths and replaced them with what I know best...walls of heavy guitars. I have discovered a way to take out all of the mud on my low tuning style. You can hear all of the guitar chords with a new clarity and the guitars have a growl to them that I've never heard before in any band. The lyrics are very personal to me. Some of them are very controversial but I guess I'm used to that by now. The songs are basically a journal of the last 2 years of my life. From my differences with my former band mates to my new life that I have now. It will definitely take your soul on a roller coaster ride. I believe the youth of this world will be forever changed from this record. We are talking with a few major labels right now and we will have a deal and a release date for the record rapped up very shortly. Thanks for all of your support. For those of you that don't support me, I promise that you will at least understand why I left it all behind when you here my record. God bless you,

No track listings have yet been posted on Head's new site, but the debut album may include the previously released songs through his website: "Letter To Dimebag", "A Cheap Name" and/or "Kry".

In related news, Head's former band Korn are releasing their new studio album "See You On The Other Side" EMI/Virgin on the 6th of December. Also Korn's EP "The Other Side. Part. 2" is currently the #1 Rock Album on iTunes.

I'll tell you the truth. When I First heard that Brian was leaving i was astonished and quite frankely didnt think that he would make it. i am proud to say that thus far he has provenn me wrong. i thought that he would be another band member gone solo who would find himself stuck with no way to attain a recording contract. Brian i will say this. as someone who did pretty much the same thing as him, left core rock for more spiritual things i will support him and his records the whole way through.

Head was always the creative frontman for KoRn and was always the most talented, i mean look at KoRn's new single, its awful. im looking forward to hearing his new album and hope it can be something doesnt sound like the same crap we've heard from KoRn in the past few years.

Head has major strength to leave the money, fame, and glory that korn offered. He was thinking of his own self-being, and his daughter's. His daughter was the main reason behind him leaving korn, God was just the second reason. I truly respect Head for all the crap he is taking, and korn does really bite now more then before Twisted Transitor is a really crappy song all around and their lyrics were so hollow saying nothing but f-ck you and f-ck my life and blah blah blah....if their lives suck so bad why don't they just buy a gun with the money they have and shoot themselves already....their drummer is quite possibly their only talented member.

Head is on an ego trip. He thinks he's going to change the world with his music. I'm not an atheist or anything , but I agree with Jonathan on the whole organized religion thing. God (or who or whatever) , I hope this album fails.

Last time I checked , the majority of metal was pretty hollow or just plain silly ( with a few exceptions and silly is for lack of a better term). i think the whole thing with head is that he left a failing band that used to thrive on inavation so everyone is expecting a masterpiece to come from heads new cd and who knows that might end up happing. all i hope is that he dont try to shove his new found christianity in his music and make it impossable to lisen to. as for korn, i think they where awsome back in the days but there music started sucking around issues then after that they shit the bed but i am confident that they will end up making at lest 1 or 2 more good cds before they brake up, hopefully anyway. and so what if j.d. is gay so is urine of msi but that band ****n rocks this whole bashing singers and bands and all the shit that goes on in these forums is ****ing gay. the people in this forum are helping steal the brotherly love that comes from music. so stop hating and start showing some respect

Anyone who has disrespected a band or artist in one of these forums is naive...i will admit, i used to despise christian music...this was before my ears were introduced to the pleasures of such bands as norma jean and the sheer brilliant undweroath. korn are one of my all time favorite bands and there is a fear i have of their musical future without head, an exceptional guitar talent...please do not judge this mans faith or sanity for leaving a 'metal' band for he felt it were no place for his child to grow up in...if anything that deserves the utmost resect from all of us, leaving a household name band for the good of your family ("a man with no time for family is not a man at all" - the godfather 2 (maybe)). lets hope that this album is worth all the hype...i really want to be able to say that korn and head are still "the shit"
