Reactivated San Francisco Bay Area thrashers Heathen will release their long-awaited new album, "The Evolution Of Chaos", in Japan on December 23 via King Records. The CD will be made available on January 25, 2010 in Europe and March 31, 2010 in the US via Holland's Mascot Records.

Photos from the recording sessions are available in the "Pics" section of the band's MySpace page (free registration required to view pictures).

The band's current lineup includes Lee Altus (guitar; Exodus), Kragen Lum (guitar; Prototype), Dave White (vocals), Jon Torres (bass; Angelwitch) and returning drummer Darren Minter.

"The Evolution Of Chaos" track listing:

Heathen released its latest CD, "Recovered", independently in the spring of 2004. The effort featured covers of songs from Queen, Thin Lizzy, Tygers Of Pan Tang and Sweet Savage, as well as an original track, "In Memory of…" (written and dedicated to former band member Randy Laird and singer David White's brother Jeffrey).

Good band. Their old albums used to be available for free download from their website, perhaps they still are.

I can imagine this just being like 'another' thrash album. Nice production, a couple of catchy riffs. Blah. No replay value. If its really good like Testaments newest album then fair enough!

Their website is down for some reason.. It's been down since July or August I think. Maybe they're doing some big updates on that website? With a new look and so on.

So excited about this, Breaking the Silence and Victims of Deception, two of the best (and most underrated) thrash metal albums ever. Just so brilliant.
