Portugese metal/goth rock band Heavenwood has set "Redemption" as the title of its third album, due in September via Recital Records. The group has tapped Jens Bogren (Opeth, Soilwork, Amon Amarth) to mix and master the effort in April at Fascination Street Studios in Г–rebro, Sweden. The initial recording sessions for the CD will take place at Ultrasound Studios with Daniel Cardoso and Ricardo Dias.
Heavenwood's forthcoming album will feature a guest appearance by singer Tijs Vanneste of the Belgian progressive metallers
Oceans Of Sadness.
After the departure in 2004 of main songwritter and guitarist Ricardo Dias, Heavenwood went on a lengthy hiatus. Now Ricardo Dias has returned along with new drummer Luiz Ferreira (ex-Secrecy from Portugal).
