Or hey, they could come up with some completely original band name instead of some mash-up of the three... Badass though, this could prove to be really cool. I know Grohl will basically jizz his pants just to be working with Jones..

Homme and Grohl have both written phenomenal rock music in the last two decades or so with their bands, and the bassist for one of the grteatest rocks bands of all time, JPJ, is also an established composer, which means we could be seeing a lot more than just your traditional rock music.

I honestly can't freaking wait for this. This should be nothing short of amazing.

I'd rather see the QotSA bassist (Oliveri, I mean) and LZ guitarist, though, not the other way around. But these guys are still cool.

Most importantly, Josh and Dave have been working together since the 90s, and they're both influenced heavily by Zeppelin, so there's bound to be chemistry there.

I like the Chickenfoot record, but I think most of those guys were trying too hard to make 'their' style of music to really bond well.

If only they could get Eddie Vedder to sing, I'd be able to relive my Seattle glory days.

I like Pearl Jam, but I never thought Eddie's voice was that great, especially on the more ballad-type tracks like alive. He just goes from mumbles to screams, id rather listen to Grohl or Homme sing.

This group is perfect as is, but Chris Cornell makes everything better.

yes it does! There is no way this can be bad! Dave Grohl is golden on drums! he sounds so good bashing away at it whilst Josh Homme comes up with some of the greatest and most original guitar playing i've heard, personally I hope he sings in this project. oh and JPJ, well his just from this band Led Fuckin' Zeppelin!

The vast majority of supergroups don't work out. I had high hopes for Chickenfoot, but people have to face the fact that throwing three members of different good bands into a blender won't make an album better then all their original stuff.

Still, this is awesome. A lot of it will depend on how much influence Grohl gets versus Homme in the writing department, but Jonesy has never been the guy writing the songs (except "Black Dog"). If Grohl takes the creative lead, then there's no way it can be bad, because unlike Homme, Dave Grohl hasn't written a bad song in his life.

Besides, the guy was in mother****ing Zeppelin. Not U2, not AC/DC, not Nirvana, but the band that was and will always be bigger then all of them. That should be enough.

Focusing on Queens and forgetting about Josh's work with Kyuss for a moment, Dave's still never written anything like 'Better Living Through Chemistry'.

...I did say I'd forget about Kyuss, but honestly, how can I? JOSH HOMME WAS IN FRICKEN KYUSS! Mother of God. Dave's most rocking moments have been playing drums on Josh Homme's and Cobain's songs.

Oh yeah and John Paul Jones too - the non-washed up member of Zeppelin

homme should do much of the singing ..the build-ups and all & then Dave Grohl should explode on the chorus portion!! that would be total kickASS

It'd be cool if Dave did some background screaming while Homme sang.

Dave Grohl has never written a bad song in his life? I like Grohl, but he has written some pretty bland shit with Foo Fighters.

Grohl would tell you himself Homme is a better and more creative song writer. I'm sure Dave will contribute to the song writing process, but Homme and Jones will no doubt be the creative forces behind this project.
