Josh Rouse: 'Subtitulo' Out March 21

With the release of his new EP, Josh Rouse introduces fans to his new imprint label, Bedroom Classics.

"I started Bedroom Classics after my contract with Rykodisc had ended. I had talked to quite a few labels but the reality is there weren't too many benefits for an artist like myself at a big corporation" Rouse stated.

"This way I can give my fans music through the internet or through traditional outlets more often. As it should be. My goals in doing this are to keep making records and earn enough to keep going...which in my eyes is success." Rouse added.

This November, Rouse released Bedroom Classics, Vol. 2 EP on November 15 exclusively via iTunes. Since Vol. 1 was released four years ago, it has quickly become a rare commodity, with fans paying up to $200 for a numbered copy (limited to 750 total) on Ebay.

Bedroom Classics, Vol. 2 is largely inspired by Josh's love of film scores. "I'm excited about it, it's really moody and different from anything I've put out." Stated Josh.

In addition to the EP, Josh will release a full-length album in March of 2006. After successful albums such as 1972 and Nashville, Subtitulo is heavily influenced by Josh's move to Spain. Having spent many years in central Tennessee (which came to a close with his most recent album and farewell letter to the city that helped hone his craft, Nashville), Josh packed up his bags, bought a plane ticket and immersed himself into the lifestyle and customs of the Spanish culture; emerging with Subtitulo (which is Spanish for "subtitled"). This influence shines throughout the upbeat (and largely romantic) tenor within each song on the new album.

The first single and video, is for "Quiet Town" (a homage to the little Spanish community Altea, where Josh first laid roots upon arrival); followed by an expansive US tour this April.
