Kasabian Work On 'Angry' New Album

Kasabian have revealed that they are busy at work on their new album and have got "angry."

Guitarist and chief song-writer Serge Pizzorno was a guest on Xfm's breakfast show with Lauren Laverne when he made the revelation, according to GIGWise. He said: “We're angry, so it's gonna be angry. It's completely different to the first two. More like Bosnian folklore music."

Serge also revealed that the Leicester outfit won’t be attending tonight’s Brit Awards where they are up for two gongs – Best Live Act and Best British Group.

Instead they’re jetting off to Europe for a gig. He added: "We're gonna be in Belgium, so I don't think we're gonna win it. We haven’t been asked to do the satellite link up or anything. George Michael's gonna win it."

Last night, Kasabian played a completely sold-out show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo with The Enemy and Hours.

I hope this album is good, considering the kicked Karloff out of the band. Glad to hear they're packing it up and working on a new album though.

How can they smash all these other bands, saying that other people's music isn't positive enough, and then go out and say that they're new record is going to be angry?! What a hypocritical band.

It'll be interesting to hear there new album. I liked quite a few of the songs off there first two albums, and it'll be interesting to see how the music sounds. Plus there from my hometown, so it should be good.

I'm not complaining, but I hope they don't rush it.

(By the way, has anyone else noticed that 'shoot the runner' was a TOTAL RIP-OFF of 'Black night' by Deep Purple? I was outraged by this.)

Tbh i foudn that the only good songs on any of thier albums only tend to be the singles. in most cases

Awesome. Kasabian are one of the few modern bands I can stand. They're pretty original, not emo crap or nu metal rubbish. Both there albums have been woth the tenner I paid, so I hope the next is good too :P


Serge had an awesome goal on Soccer AM too, if anyone saw it.

British Legion? Sorry, I just love that song. And it's absolutely fantastic live. Plus every single song on the first album is amazing .

they dont sound alike at all, i play both and i didnt make the connection.
i caught these guys at the big day out in perth, australia and the were the best act of the day stage wise.

British legion is a good tune, but Serge can't sing worth a flip. But the album does have some good non single tunes. Sun/Rise/Light/Flies, Last trip, By My Side to name a few.

Wooo new kasabian album, i hope its a gooden tho n they dont rush it... their first 2 albums are great, theyre really great band, exactly what the music scene needs right now!

anger isnt always necessarily negative. You can be angered by something and it may uplift you to go out and do something. I dont like them that much from the few things ive heard from them.
