Kirk Hammett To Play For Carlos Santana Album

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett is featured on guitar legend Carlos Santana's new album, entitled "All That I Am", which is due for release on September 13, reports Blabbermouth.net. Kirk provides guitar parts in one of the songs on the album, which also includes various other artists collaborating on other songs.

Kirk has previously worked with Carlos in 2001 at a live show benefit in San Francisco. Carlos was also invited into the HQ studio in 2002 while the band were recording "St. Anger".

as far as kirk/santana. kirk is great. santana is pretty good too, not many guitarists can match the emotional energy he puts into his playing, but he does do a lot of cheap moron-pleaser tricks live.. like holding the same high note and strumming it for 5 seconds before changing it. people go crazy for that and i don't see it.. don't get me wrong he's a great guitarist.
