Korn Title Album

According to a post at the Korn fan site Korn Unleashed, Korn have set "Souvenir Of Sadness" as the title of their upcoming album, tentatively due late summer via the group's own label imprint.

Korn have worked with several producers during the pre-production stage for the follow-up to 2003's "Take A Look In The Mirror", including Linda Perry, Atticus Clark, The Matrix, and Dallas Austin, according to frontman Jonathan Davis. Among the cuts that are slated for inclusion on the upcoming CD are "Liar", "Revolution" (described by Davis as "an old-school Parliament tune"), "Polotix", "Last Legal Drug", "Le Petit Mort" and "Souvenir Of Sadness".

There will be no replacement for Head. KoRn will be a 4 member band, and will use sound samples for Head's guitar parts at live shows. Munky is doing the recording for both guitar sides for the album.

Thats the problem with slipknot live, you hear two singers on the cd and at the concert but only one person is doing the vocals, which is screaming... Sure they have 3 people tah can do the screams but no one sings its all prerecorded.... I was like wtf that s seriouslly weak 9 members and no one to do the vocals?

zakk wylde used sound samples in his live at the budokan set with ozzy, I don't know if he normally does but I think it allows him to do a little more so I wouldn't call it lame. They're still playing live just adds to the music. Adding another guitarist seems wrong here. On the other front, if you're gonna rip on korn you better come up with something better than they're talentless, i guarantee they're better than any band here. I've grown out of them but I still listen from time to time, especially issues.

Even if KoRn does use sounds samples they will still put on one hell of a live show. Head leaving did suck but they will get a new guitarist soon enough. Ben Moody would be cool. Love the new CD title should be a great CD as always (except for Issues, that one wasnt up to par).

i think korn would do fine as a one guitar band, but they probably will do like these other bands, green day for example, where they get some unknown guitarist to play the 2nd part, but im sure this album will still be ok, probably not great, but at least ok

Well, they said they got rid of the solos and the new cd won't be double-disc. They also said Head is gonna hate this album. I guess this means they stripped the album of all his musical input, which can't be good for how they will sound now.

Kor(can't do the backwards "r")n is possibly one of the worst bands I know, and their album title is so bad. Like, it is sooo.. bad, that is one of the most homosexual titles, it so cliche, and so overused, in the sense of sadness. Ugh, Korn is a stain on music, as is all nu-metal.

James: We will hire someone to play in the back (guitar) and David [Silveria, drums] will trigger some samples.

Korn Unleashed: That will definatly be interesting to see. Any idea on who you'll hire?

James: Someone close to us already...not just some stanger. There's not gonna be some big auditions or anything.
