Lamb Of God In Writing Mode

Lamb Of God's official MySpace page has issued the following news bulletin:

"Chris Adler (drums) and Willie Adler (guitars) are now back from a very successful and sold-out clinic tour across Germany.

"The band is currently hard at work on the upcoming DVD release. Although no official release or title has been announced, late spring 2008 is expected. The band is also rumored to have begun working on new material. There are also multiple new messages from Chris at his number on TheLiveLine.com. The call is free and no membership is required. The number to call is: 866-944-5262 (if this is your first time calling, you can call repeatedly to hear each additional message).

Lamb Of God in December 2007 released the "deluxe producer edition" of its latest album, "Sacrament" (with bonus CD).

Lamb Of God is breaking down the smoke and mirrors and allowing fans and professionals alike the revolutionary opportunity to produce and/or remix the entire "Sacrament" audio CD. All of the studio audio tracks (guitar, vocals, drums and bass) from the entire "Sacrament" album have been isolated, separated and prepared for use by music fans everywhere in ANY Mac or PC, so it is very user-friendly.

But seriously, I don't listen to them, they're not really my scene, but I respect the guitarists at least.

And I think the option to remix their CD is a really cool and involving thing to do, I might check that out even though I'm not a huge fan.

You know a good band when, so far, no one has put a bad word to them, and even those who are not into them can at least respect the band. Even if you don't like screaming or grunting, you can appreciate the effort Randy goes to in order to do it on a scale like normal vocals, which is why they're not just another band that shouts!

I got the Sacrament special edition thing a few months ago... holy shit is it amazing. It's so cool to isolate one track and be able to tell exactly what they're doing. Anyone who has it, I dare you to listen to the drums by themselves without blowing a giant, metal load all over your keyboard.

These guys are one of my favorite bands, can't wait for the new shit!

can't wait for the new album! some would be slightly dissappointed about the studio sacrement album though i gotta warn ya, altho log direct inject their guitars (i.e. record them clean) on here it has given you the distorted guitars with any fx already on them.

wicked if you fancy kicking randy out and having you as the vocalist though, and perfect for any backing tracks - might as well have the real log behind you.

their riffs are an orgy and the vocals are an orgasm...i dont listen to metal cept for heavy metal..and these guys are my fav...killadelphia was great but the solos sucked...on sacrement they put the solos in mind that time and it was awesome...the fill in again we rise and the solo in patheic and walk with me in hell are awesome..lamb of god are one of my top 5 band ever

I would like to restate this in a more civilized manner.

What exactly makes these guys such gods? I mean their guitar playing has shown much improvement over the past few albums, but hardly to anything truly masterful. Sure, they almost always have a great riff underneath, but I fail to see anything too noteworthy on the grand scale of things.
While their songwriting is very intuitive at times, it can get a bit similar. They do a better job than most metal(or whatever genre that the dreaded genre police have decided to file them under now) bands, but still. They are not really geniuses like everyone says.
To me, a FORMER l.o.g. fan, it seems that these guys have found a very simple formula, and are completely content with writing very similar music over and over; all while being put on a pedestal.
So I ask again, in the politest way probably ever done in one of these comments, what is so good about them.

I am a die hard LoG fan. I can play all of their songs and I love their riffs. but my mommy thinks it's devil worshipping music. she says i'm too young but i'm f***ing 7 yrs old so suck it!

Well I don't know about you, but most of the songs on an album usually sound alike. Just take a listen at Master of Puppets.

And take a close listen to some of their less known songs. F.E. Another Nail for Your Coffin. Somewhere in the middle of the song it suddenly switches to one of the most breathtaking harmonic riffs I know. Not to mention the solo that follows closely after.

If you want to know what's so good about these guys, pay attention to the details, because that's what they do too.

Not to discourage you, but they would be drowned out in the sea of every other metal band out there who uses Drop C in order to make the average metalcore album. They should continue to do everything in Drop D like they always have. Just my opinion haha!

Yeh...some bands...that use the lower tunings can get away with it, but Not when they switch around, to 20 different tunings. a bnad should find one they are comfortable with, and stick with it. Lamb of God sounds perfectly awsome, in Drop D. Why would they change?
