Lamb Of God Record New Album

Lamb Of God has commenced recording on the follow up to 2006’s Grammy-nominated "Sacrament." Their new album is scheduled for release in February 2009 and will be produced by Josh Wilbur. Josh Wilbur is well-known for his Grammy Award winning work with Steve Earl. The album will be recorded in New York City; Virginia Beach, VA; Richmond, VA; and New Hampshire.

The album will see a North American release on Epic Records with Roadrunner Records handling all NON North American releases.

Band drummer Chris Adler states, “We are excited change things up this time and work with Josh. We’ve never stayed in one place too long, and the evolution continues. There is an aggressive shift in the material and our approach. The bar has been raised.”

Lamb Of God shipped gold with their double DVD "Walk With Me In Hell" and after five weeks are rapidly approaching platinum status.

Following production, Lamb Of God will head out on an extensive world tour commencing with their support slot in December with Metallica. Those previously reported tour dates are as follows:

12/04 - Pengrowth Saddledome - Calgary, AB

Randy Blyth is one of metals greatest screamers and his lyrics equally as good. I think many people would agree with me that LOG would SUCK with singing.

But anyway, I so cannot wait for this album, Feb '09 is too far away! Also, come to England damn you!

I was just saying it in a general sense. I mean, I really don't understand WHY they scream/growl/make other animal noises. Just think about it.. I liked this screaming/hardcore stuff too but after I stepped back and thought "wtf is this" I realized its just making you (listener)/screamer look like a fag.

I totally respect LoG as I liked them too, and OK, the lyrics have DEPTH, but I'm talking about the overall presentation.. Even talking/doing that intro voice they have on most of their songs is way more audible than growling.

You guys don't have to attack, its just an opinion.

NO way should Metallica open for Lamb of God. They are the second best selling band ever, only upped my the Beatles. They are incredible. I love Lamb of God, and i love there music, and they are huge, but they dont have the superstardom and worldwide massivmenn of Metallica.

Musically? metallica are far better for sheer tune writing. Their structure and melody is far superior. However I will agree that in pure technical skill, It is very hard to outdo LoG. Not a fan, but there is a lot of talent there.

Should be cool, LoG is one of the few metalcore bands I can get into. Randy Blythe is one of the few unique-sounding screamers in metal. You can always tell when it's him belting it into the mic. I'm interested to see what new stuff they bring to the table.

I might have to disagree with all of this saying that if the singing chorus rumour is true. LOG would never in their life try and do what someone else has done, not entirely. Randy will probably find some way to make it sound like an evolution in screaming if that be the case. They haven't let anyone down yet

Or will they play their old stuff and then in feb they'll be playing their new work (which isn't fair for the first people they played that only got to hear their 'old' work)...

i like metal, a lot. not sure if i would consider myself a "metal-head" per say(lots of good music out there). but i'm not really understanding why some are complaining about the vocals being the way the are( the screaming and seeming indiscernible)i see the vocalist as being original and i can understand a lot of what he says. there are some metal bands out there that sound like they have cocks in there mouths when they sing and its just too heavy to even hear syllables. my opinion being that he kicks ass. period
