Guitarman47 i wouldnt be too nervous, roadrunner is only handling the Non-North American release. In a video where Dave Mustaine is talking about music business at a Guitar Center he says the international sales is what he is most happy about with them, nationally not such much he admits. so in other words Epic nationally, and RR internationally sounds awesome

I'm going in December to see Metallica, LoG and The Sword. The Sword are OK. LoG.. Wow, if you just got a pair of ears that worked right. Random screaming? Nonsense lyrics?
Randy Blyth is one of metals greatest screamers and his lyrics equally as good. I think many people would agree with me that LOG would SUCK with singing.

But anyway, I so cannot wait for this album, Feb '09 is too far away! Also, come to England damn you!

Randy Blythe is the easiest vocalist to understand with growls, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Mark and Randy also write BRILLIANT lyrics. Look them up, you ignorant fool.

Randy takes 100 dollar an hour (rough estimate) lessons for his vocals. Even vocalists like Angela Gossow refer to Randy as a pro.

Holy shit dude... calm down. It's not like I called him that directly, and its not like you are him.

I was just saying it in a general sense. I mean, I really don't understand WHY they scream/growl/make other animal noises. Just think about it.. I liked this screaming/hardcore stuff too but after I stepped back and thought "wtf is this" I realized its just making you (listener)/screamer look like a fag.

I totally respect LoG as I liked them too, and OK, the lyrics have DEPTH, but I'm talking about the overall presentation.. Even talking/doing that intro voice they have on most of their songs is way more audible than growling.

You guys don't have to attack, its just an opinion.

Musically? metallica are far better for sheer tune writing. Their structure and melody is far superior. However I will agree that in pure technical skill, It is very hard to outdo LoG. Not a fan, but there is a lot of talent there.

The first sentence was me. The second two, those in italics that's not me. I don't think Metallica should open for Lamb of God. Hell no. I just think it shows great confidence by Metallica because Lamb of God are in no way an "opening act" caliber band. Seriously, who would want to follow Lamb of God? why can't LoG just have a headlining tour? Its not like they arent recognised by the metal community, and they do a hell of a good job bringing "new" talent along to their tours, i mean look at Gojira!

I just don't see the point in them touring with Metallica, they just don't fit in. I think it might be a bit selfish on their part...

+100000

I would have never listened to Devildriver, Gojira, Machine Head, Trivium, or Killswitch if Lamb of God hdn't toured with them

Please don't be the next Slayer.. for some reason, for me at least, they started awesome and stayed that way for the first few records, and then they went down.. I didn't like Christ Illusion at all when compared to their others.

Well they may not be the next slayer by the way their music sounds but the next slayer by how popular they are. Kinda like how people is saying that Trivium will be the next Metallica. That doesn't say that they would release a St Anger kind of album in the future but they could be just as popular as they are.

I don't know its just a rumor I heard. It might not even happen.

I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW ALBUM!!

I'm not going to post a ranting comment as to how insanely awesome Lamb of God are and continue to be...I'm just gonna leave it the above line.

And despite the fact that Metallica "wrote the book that LoG goes by" it doesn't change the fact that Lamb of God's music and live energy far outstrips Metallica's, which are the two things people want to see at a live show.

And on Chris saying that this album is an aggressive shift...

...holy shit, this will be insane...

Metallica should be opening for Lamb Of God. Altough Metallica has been around longer, Lamb of God is on a whole other level.

Totally agree with that one

I might have to disagree with all of this saying that if the singing chorus rumour is true. LOG would never in their life try and do what someone else has done, not entirely. Randy will probably find some way to make it sound like an evolution in screaming if that be the case. They haven't let anyone down yet

Ah I see what you mean..

But Trivium being Metallica? That'll be "The Day That Never Comes".

The only band I can see having somewhat similar epicness would be Mastodon.

alright so I'm confused, guys. They're starting their tour in december, but releasing their album in feb. So does this mean the first shows will hear their new stuff first? Or will they play their old stuff and then in feb they'll be playing their new work (which isn't fair for the first people they played that only got to hear their 'old' work)...

agreed...
LoG has nothing on metallica. Metallica is the greatest metal band of all time and LoG will never come even close. As for LoG blowing Metallica out of the water live... Are you crazy? Metallica puts on a mind-blowing performance. They are incredible live and will absolutely kill the show

i like metal, a lot. not sure if i would consider myself a "metal-head" per say(lots of good music out there). but i'm not really understanding why some are complaining about the vocals being the way the are( the screaming and seeming indiscernible)i see the vocalist as being original and i can understand a lot of what he says. there are some metal bands out there that sound like they have cocks in there mouths when they sing and its just too heavy to even hear syllables. my opinion being that he kicks ass. period

and they are going to put out more dates...right?

Uuuuuummmmm my mind's trying to comprehend your immense stupity. Are you really such a cretin that:
1.You come on to a LoG article just to slag them off with the most pathetic little argument your dim-witted mind is capable of?
2.You compare LoG with Metallica? Now thats just ****in stupid! Lets take two completely different styles of music and compare them with a blatantly biased argument and expect to persuade anyone to support you?!

You just earned yourself the annual ****-stick award! I hope you enjoy it as you're the reason i stay away from any metal forum, all you ****ing loud-mouthed pricks spouting shit about anything that crosses your ignorant little minds.

Ps. If you'd ever played Lamb of God songs then you'd know that they have a lot more excellent riffs and solos than metallica have had over half their career (Please don't get me wrong and flame me like this cretin, Metallica rule etc... one of my clear favourite bands of all time and always will be, i hope thats enough:-P). Try comparing a LoG album with St.Anger or ReLoad. Obviously that wouldnt work as they're different but you get the idea!

Enough said about that.

I'm stoked they're releasing a new album!
Cant ****ing wait!! (Reminds me i still have to get the Death Magnetic album, apparently it's amazing ;

man the least you can do is not let it bother you....listen to both bands and continue to love them, let the *******s flame and judge, its not like ANY of US are being interviewed or featured on Ultimate-guitar.com so you all should at least show some hot dam respect to the bands that have earned it over years, while you sit at home, commenting on forums about things you all hate.....seriously guys, how do you back that up?? somebody tell me please

but, seriously...do wat you want, but at the same time check the conscious status of your actions, cuz its not a matter of LOOKING or SOUNDING retarded, its about not having a ****ing CLUE wat youre saying

God this happens in every hot dam forum!! the first few comments are WOOHOO or HELLZ YEA or I LOVE LOG and then some elitist dick comes in and puts himself above all else and instead of leaving, they HAVE to draw all the attention in the world to themselves by saying dumb shit like OOH I HATE THIS BAND!! and then ppl quote and agree or they quote and say stupid shit like "noob shut the fag up!! ur totally gaaaaay!! IDIOT!! you LOOK bad!!" haha so i think if you have anything to say here, try to stick to the relevant topics and STOP straying off to little things and personal attacks on everyone else
