Lamb Of God: 'Wrath' Track Listing

Richmond, Virginia metallers Lamb Of God have finalized the track listing for their fifth album, "Wrath", due in North America via Epic on February 24. The CD will be issued in other territories through Roadrunner Records.

"Wrath" was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.

Lamb Of God finished the touring cycle for the Grammy-nominated album "Sacrament" at the end of 2007. The two-year trek was documented in the gold-certified DVD "Walk with Me in Hell" and culminated with the band headlining arenas across the U.S. in December 2007.

The band took the entirety of 2008 off the road to focus on the writing process for "Wrath".

"This album is going to surprise a lot of people," commented drummer Chris Adler. "Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. 'Wrath' needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24 you will feel it."

The first leg of Lamb Of God's "Wrath" world tour will start in Finland on February 6 and will include dates in the U.K., Australia, and Japan.

Why do people hate sacrament? Honestly if you find it dissapointing then start your own band and realize how hard it is to make great songs time and time again with each new album. Lamb of god are pretty damn good at bringing great ****ing metal on each album.

Not to cause a shitstorm or anything, but these guys have been boring me lately. I love Randy Blythe's vocals, but Mark Morton just seems to have a basic "jugga-jugga-jugga-squeal" songwriting structure. I saw them live a few years ago and it was a very good show, but they've been kinda "meh" since then. I want Blythe to sing for a balls-out-heavy-as-hell death metal band because, as I said previously, I love his vocals and I think he has one of the most unique voices in metal. Hopefully this album will jump start them for me.

This new album is going to be raw, brutal, and insanely heavy. Randy's voice has the charm from new american gospel with the skill from sacrament on wrath (from the couple songs I've heard).

And for everyone who's having trouble enjoying the new music, try and picture what it would sound/look like live, think about what's going through the heads of LOG... in the walk with me in hell dvd, mark morton said (not an exact quote) "when ashes came out people wanted to hear palaces. when sacrament came out people wanted to hear ashes. but I choose to keep doing something new every album, I refuse to play the same thing over and over again."

i noticed that too...seems like the guitar doesnt really kick in till after that break halfway thru the song.it went straight into that muted gallop type thing wen i was hopin for somethin a little more standout like the opening riffs in one gun or wwmih.

Personally I liked Ashes better, but Sacrament was definitely amazing and far above anything other bands put out. But it's an opinion. I listened to Contractor on their myspace and was disappointed. But it might turn out like some other LoG songs for me. They grow on you. This is an amazing band, I just watched Walk with me in Hell recently and was blown away by their skill/songwriting process and their personalities. These guys are truly kickass.
