Limp Bizkit: 'Rock In The Park 2001' Live DVD

artist: limp bizkit date: 01/15/2008 category: upcoming releases

Since introducing their ground-breaking ‘nu metal’ sound to the burgeoning rap-metal scene in the late Nineties, Limp Bizkit has sold over 33 million albums around the world. The band are now going to release…a DVD.

Rock In The Park 2001 is to be issued by Liberation Entertainment on March 31, and captures the band performing at Germany’s biggest and most prestigious rock event held annually in Nuremberg, the famous Rock In The Park Festival.

Rock In The Park 2001 will be released as single DVD disc, and additionally as a 2 disc CD/DVD set.

The live-in-concert DVD is available to enjoy in its 85 minute original TV edit version, and also as slightly shorter 73 remix version. Both releases feature an exclusive interview with D.J. Lethal.

Thanks for the info to SMNnews.com.

I loved Significant other and chocolate star fish, to great albums, yes I was a typical teenager growing up listening to this sound but the nu metal boom struck just as I was really getting into music, so I still hold high names like Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park, even though their glory days are well over and fred is a douche now :P

Agreed. Well, Fred had some good moments of lyrical...semi-genius. They were all used up within the first three albums (heavily on the first two), but...yeah.

Alright, anyone who owns Significant Other would know about a DVD that was supposed to have been released in late 1999, called Poop.
I swear to God, I looked for that bastard for two years. They never released it. So, I'm skeptical about this one. I mean, the Greatest Hits DVD was released, and, this thing has a date (didn't Poop?), but...still.
That, and...2001?! At least it'll be Wes.

I have all the bizkit albums. but i agree with a lot of people here that this dvd is about 7+ years too late. LB's last album The Unquestionable Truth Pt. 1 was some of their best work yet. Mostly because Wes was back in.

I also agree with calling out the flamers. I'm willing to bet that atleast half the people flaming bizkit at one time owned one (if not all) of the first 3 bizkit albums.

and it's not called rock in the park, it's called "rock im park" !!

and it's not the biggest festival in germany. the biggest festival is the "rock am ring" festival, which takes place at the same time every year.

My post was about what I think of the release of the DVD, which I think is pointless and, quite frankly, a sign that Durst's pocket money is running out.

So what if I think this is a bad release for a bad band, which will sell badly? I'm sorry, obviously a forum means that I have to agree with whatever is posted. I'll be more careful next time not to offend you.

I'm actually surprised the powers that be still think people will buy this. It's gonna be an unpleasant surprise.

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. After their 1st CD I never listened to them again, buying their first CD was a waste of $14!! This is obviously a quick buck Fred is trying to make because no one wants a talentless, washed-up singer. Even their original guitarist is ashamed of the band. Anyways, that's my opinion.

mods arent going to do any thing about that! dont you see? they only put these articles up here for people to make fun of. A guitar website posting an article about a band of which the guitarist is entirely ashamed of. makes a lot of sense for it to be any thing than a mockery eh?

They are still milking every last cent out of the name LIMP BIZKIT from the days up to 2001 when they were actually really good IMO.

1999 was the best, I was 12 and Significant Other was a good album because Fred Durst's ego wasnt that big then. And the rest of the band were pretty good at what they did.

Nookie starts off with one of the greatest riffs of all time IMO, but then is just totally ruined by Durst's weak ass voice and song topics. I'm pretty sure generalities isn't a word. Which sort of confirms my belief that most Limp Bizkit fans are pretty unintelligent. Not that there's anything wrong with that, or Limp Bizkit. Well, okay, naming your band after a strange masturbation ritual is a bit odd. Oh and the fact the entire band has little or no talent. They just generally make me feel sick. But if you like it, then good on you. After all, clearly Fred Durst is in need of a bit of cash and idiots like you that provide that for him.

Limp Bizkit is an amazing band. As a matter of fact, LB is one of the greatest bands that ever lived ( whether you like it or not) .. The thing is, all you d*ckheads are flaming the band just because they haven't been active lately. Every band has their ups and downs. Limp Bizkit was at the pinnacle in 2001. And I'm sure almost everybody here was a Bizkit fan back then. So thats why I'm telling you its NOT too late..
Would you say its too late if "Iron Maiden" or "Megadeth" released a DVD from the 80's ?? I don't think so...
Now, too all of you "intelligent" people.. The record label is the one responsible for the release of this DVD.. It is NOT because Fred is running out of money.. I mean come on !! haven't you heard the guy just finished directing his first movie and he's working on the next one ???

You all have to agree that Wes Boreland and co. were a good band. But durst was a terrible frontman. But he is fun to listen to occasionaly. L.B would be better with another lead singer

I have no idea why these haters who said that they hate limp bizkit. If all of yalls lives where on the line with a gun to yalls head yall would fess up and say they were a good band that started a jolt in the nu-metal era. I like bizkit don't love them but i have to say that Fred is 7 years too late. The Art Man is right Rolling Stone Magazine came out one month and had these guys at number 24 greatest band of all time. I mean yeah some songs were stupid some songs were great but fact of the matter is Fred Durst got filthy rich off everybody selling records and touring. And I think some of yall writing on this comment board did buy an albulm or two i'll admit I did just fess up and say yall were into them and still are. Cause the matter of fact is if and this is a big if they ever get close to where they were most of yall will go see Limp Bizkit if they tour I know i will.

i still listen to their old stuff occasionaly.

I feel the same....Durst is one of the better and one of the absolute worst lead singers of the late 90s....great musical mind.

I rock out to My generation, Nookie and Sour every now and again.

I heard a rumour that LB is planning a new album as well
