Limp Bizkit To Start Recording New Album 'In A Couple Of Weeks'

Limp Bizkit are set to hit the studio to begin work on their first new album since 2005's "The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1)" in the next few weeks.

The reunited rockers, who played at the Sonisphere festival at Knebworth yesterday (August 2), made the announcement in a video interview with Nme.com, which you can watch here.

"We're about to go into the studio in a couple of weeks and record our new album," explained frontman Fred Durst. "We feel very confident about that."

Guitarist Wes Borland added: "It [the songwriting process] takes all shapes and all forms. We've written songs during shows in the last tour. Sometimes it's spontaneous, sometimes it's like trying to take down a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

"It's like a pool of ideas. It's like a bunch of finished songs that everyone's done on their home studio set-ups. Most of the meat of the record will probably be written when we're in a room together."

if they dropped the rapcore thing then i think they might not survive past a day. i honestly think that the only reason theyre doing this is because they were running low on money from when they were a big band back in the late 90s early 00s

I can live with rapmetal, I just never much cared for Durst's take on it. The music was always great, though, IMO.

To one of the bands that got me into metal music, when I was the age of 14, bizkit will always have a place in my heart.

I agree with this. I saw both. Both played really well. I enjoyed both sets a lot. But Rob Flynn's speech about coming back for the fans annoyed me. If it was about the fans, you wouldn't have pulled out to begin. Seemed like a publicity stunt to me. I like their music, but I've lost respect for them.

You can do the same style but do it SO much better. Supercharger and Burning Red destroy anything LB have done.

And why the hell do people rate Wes Borland so highly? I could name 50 metal guitarists better than him. For his 2 shows in Marilyn Manson he sounded horrible.
