Linkin Park Work On Music For 'Transformers 2'

Linkin Park is working with film composer Steve Jablonsky on music for the soundtrack of the upcoming movie "Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen". According to Seibertron.com, the band will also contribute a brand new song to the movie, which opens nationwide on June 24. No other information was made available on the group's contributions to the film. Linkin Park has been at work on a new album since last fall, although there's no word on whether the song for the "Transformers" soundtrack will be taken from that project.

The first "Transformers" movie, based on a line of robot toys from Hasbro, grossed $708 million worldwide in 2007. Stars Shia LaBoeuf and Megan Fox return for the second film.

Linkin Park announced last week that it will produce a series of applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The first of the apps will debut sometime this fall.

When I was watching the first Transformers and the end came and they started playing the Linkin Park I laughed hard,it was the perfect cherry on top.A crappy song to finish off the terrible terrible movie.

Just have Hospital of Death's cover of Lion's 1986 Tranformers Movie theme instead of Linkin bloody Park.

I loved the old linkin park. Now they are the same as every other band.....

They should have stayed with the Rap/Metal sound.

Oh my God aren't we being a bit childish? The soundtrack does not make the movie. I didn't particularly like What I've Done but it didn't change the movie. Linkin Park has strayed from what they used to be, an actual rock band, to a hip hop/'kind of' metal band. They do have the capacity to do another Meteora. I know it.

That's the good thing about opinions is that you can never prove them correct or wrong and another good thing is that the people with opposite opinions don't care about what you think. Opinions aside, the movie was not terrible.
