Megadeth Album Pushed Back A Week

According to a posting on Megadeth's official web site, the group's mainman Dave Mustaine returned to the U.S. today (February 27) after completing a ten-day radio/press tour across Europe promoting the band's much-anticipated new album, "United Abominations", now due on May 15 via Roadrunner Records.

"United Abominations" was mixed at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, England by Andy Sneap (Machine Head, Skinlab, Nevermore). Check out the cover artwork at this location. A professionally shot video clip of Megadeth performing a new song, entitled "Washington Is Next", on October 14, 2006 at the Loud Park '06 festival in Tokyo, Japan has been posted online at YouTube.com. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Gears of War", "United Abominations", "Burnt Ice", "Never Walk Alone" and "Amerikhastan". A rough-mix version of "Gears of War", is available for download at this location. A video clip of Megadeth performing "Gears Of War" live on October 31, 2006 at Six Flags in Springfield, Massachusetts during the "Gears of War - Match Made In Hell" event has been posted online at YouTube.com.

I heard Washington is next and I loved it! And with Metallica's new songs sounding pretty damn tight as well, plus Slayer's new record, thrash is making a stand (too bad about Anthrax, it would have been awesome).

All the good bands starting with M are releasing new albums this year, and this is the one i'm most looking forward to. ABSOLUTELY LOVE Gears of War ever since I heard it as a soundcheck in Melbourne Gigantour last october. Washington is Next rocks too. Haven't yet heard sleepwalker but the reviews on it already wet my appetite.

Oh well, at least we got That One Night to last us til then!!!

(and no I don't think it'll be another Chinese Democracy. The album is DONE and just for the record I believe GnR when they say theirs is just about done too).

Yeah, the M names are really busting their asses this year. I'm not only waiting for United Abominations, but I'm also waiting for Metallica's new album. Both are gonna rock. Oh, and I don't know about GNR. If you mean Guns 'n' Roses, I think they're just not good anymore after Slash left.

You're right. The Ms must be busting their asses this year. Sleepwalker's pretty awesome, Gears of War and Washington is Next. Just to make a point, I never really liked GnR that much. I listened to Sweet Child O' Mine, Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, but I wasn't into them. Either way, if I know anything, they weren't really that good after Slash left the band. He was always my favorite.
