My Chemical Romance Plan Next Album

My Chemical Romance are returning to the studio in Autumn to start work on a new album, it has been reported.

The band will begin work on the follow-up to 2010's "Danger Days – The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys" in autumn, reports Absolute Punk.

My Chemical Romance broke the news to fans at their recent show in Chicago on Saturday night (August 20) that they would be returning to the studio after they have finished their current tour with Blink-182.

My Chemical Romance will headline this year's Reading and Leeds festivals from August 26-28, with support from 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Deftones, Rise Against and Bring Me The Horizon.

I dont get why bands do this.
they have a 3-5 year gap between albums
HYPE UP THE NEW ONE LIKE CRAZY.
then release it.
then a year later. theyre releasing another one.

Their last album felt like a newer better and more improved green day album to me. Not a bad thing at all. I'm very interested in hearing the next one.

Maybe not do a concept album this time though?

They could do a new album or, they could release the 30 songs they wrote after "The Black Parade" that they, for some reason, moved aside to put out "Danger Days."

They felt the album they scrapped for black parade wasn't "them". It was stripped down to basics, rock n roll. No overdubbed Queen like guitar solos, no over the top songs. I was quite happy with Danger Days, and I think this is brilliant news. I cannot wait to hear more from this band.

Maybe it is because they are talented and have a huge fan base? An original sound? I am pretty sure it is why this band is more successful than most. They may not be masterful musicians, but they can still make some good tunes.

Whiney is not original and neither is average skills. The reason they're famous is because little girls relate to their lyrics.

What he said. And I reckon they are masterful musicians, they aren't driving everything with powerchords. These days if you ain't using power chords you either aren't playing guitar or you're damned good at it. 'Sing it for the boys, sing it for the girls' yeah really whiny. Want more? I saw them at Leeds this weekend and they were great. I cannot wait for the new album, Mikey has been quoted as saying 'It's like Danger Days but with the older stuff'. So like the performance of Vampires Will Never Hurt You from Itunes Fest 2011? YES PLEASE.
