My Chemical Romance To Turn 'Danger Days' Into BBC Series

My Chemical Romance have announed that they want to turn their new album Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys into a BBC mini series.

The band believe new album "Danger Days", released on November 22, will work well as a tv series.

"My dream is that it becomes a 10-part BBC mini-series. I would love that so much more than a movie. A lot of things that inspired me as a kid were those very things. I love Doctor Who," Gerad Way said to the Daily Star.

He added: "There were people who wanted to make a movie of The Black Parade. There was talk of Broadway and an animated film. But we pushed that stuff away as it didn’t feel right. It wasn’t a movie, it was an album."

Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance made "Danger Days" available online on November 16 before its official release.

I'm pretty sure MCR at the time of the Black Parade said the film and broadway show would be a great idea. Perhaps they will change their mind about this, too.

I must ask, why a BBC mini series specifically? I can't see them going for it...

mm, could be pretty good, I havent heard the new album yet, Na Na Na sort of turned me off of it, but if they get the BBC to do it, it could be pretty good, they always put out quality shows

Based on the work they've done with their new videos, I think it would turn out really good, if it were to happen. I think this is just Gerard generally idealizing.

Yeah, 10 parts isn't a mini-series. It's a bloody long series. Most stuff on the BBC/any other British TV channel has like six episodes to each series. Then they only last two or three series before they get cancelled.

Why ruin a good thing?

Also, "Na Na Na" is the most bareable thing I've heard from MCR. I assume it's an attempt to move away from the whole emo scene.

That'd be great. I don't care what your opinion of the music is, but you have to admit that the visual style of the videos for Na Na Na and SING are great. I'd totally watch that.
