UK buzz band Nine Black Alps will release its debut album, "Everything Is," Feb. 28 in North America via Interscope, reports ChartAttack. The band unveiled the disc in their homeland earlier this year, and it has already spun off five singles, including "Cosmopolitan" and "Unsatisfied." A different version of "Cosmopolitan" from the one on the album was included on the Nine Black Alps self-titled EP that made its way to these shores this past summer. The 12-track set was produced by Rob Schnapf (Beck, Guided By Voices) and issued in England this fall. The album has already spawned five UK singles, including "Cosmopolitan" and "Unsatisfied."
Nine Black Alps have been called the 'British Nirvana' by some critics, and Canadians will be able to decide for themselves if it's an apt description when Interscope releases the group's debut album. Nirvana comparisons have been affixed to the band since its 2004 emergence, and the influence of the Seattle rock trio is hard to miss on vein-bulging tracks like "Ironside" and "Not Everyone." The version of "Cosmopolitan" included here packs even more of a punch than the one included on Nine Black Alps' self-titled US EP, issued this summer. The track list for the album is as follows:
01. Get Your Guns
02. Cosmopolitan
03. Not Everyone
04. Unsatisfied
05. Headlights
06. Behind Your Eyes
07. Ironside
08. Shot Down
09. Just Friends
10. Everybody Is
11. Intermission
12. Southern Cross.
