Ozzy Says He Doesn't Want Another Black Sabbath Album

Ozzy Osbourne has ruled out a reunion album with Black Sabbath, because he doesn't want to tarnish their reputation, according to ContactMusic.com.

Despite being happy to play with them in one-off live gigs, Osbourne, whose last Black Sabbath studio album was in 1978, refuses to return to the studio with his former bandmates.

Ozzy is terrified a new record would not match the standard of previous releases, including "Paranoid" and "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath".

He says, "I love the guys and we had fun and all became friendly again. But it's time to move on.

"I don't want to make another Sabbath album, not if it's not up to scratch. I could put any old b**locks out and it would probably sell.

"But what's the point in demolishing such a great thing?"

I think that's probably one of the better choices he could have made in this situation. If you think about it, Black Sabbath's work with Ozzy is now legendary, and it would be very intimidating trying to write songs to parallel those, almost 30 years afterwards.

I have to agree with him on deciding that, however, it could have worked out in his favor. Judas Priest's last album was awesome! And to a further extent for an example, look at Brave New World; when Iron Maiden reunited with Bruce Dickinson on that first album, it was awesome! I think honestly though Ozzy realizes he just doesnt have the voice for it anymore, did anybody else buy Under Cover? He sounds tired on it.

Good decision Ozzy! Sabbath were amazing & have an unbeatable legacy but when he left Sabbath he left that part of his career behind and created some of the most brilliant metal music of the 80's and 90's as a solo artist, I hate when artists try to go back to the past! I would would prefer a new Ozzy studio album. Now he is clean and has more popularity than he has in years he should really focus,get some young energetic musicians around him and create an album that out-rocks 'Blizzard of Ozz' or 'Ozzmosis'!

anyways... ozzy decision maybe the better decision of this... he can't sing worth a piss anymore really, and it would probably be putting too much work on his shoulders, he's old and fragile, the work and stress of creating a new album could make him crumble and then he wouldn't be able to tour or even finish the album... so i think hes better off with out the reunion album.

Well i can see where Ozzy is coming from. I understand that he knows he can't make the same quality music as he once could. Look at the U.K Music Hall of Fame ceremony. Did anyone else watch that? Ozzy sounded aweful and from his expression it looked like singing was hurting him.
