Placebo To Record New Album

Placebo are on the eve of returning to the studio to start recording their 5th studio album. The new album due for release in 2006 is being produced by Dimitri Tikavoi, who has previously worked with Placebo on tracks such as "The Ballad Of Melody Nelson" and "Running Up That Hill".

Elsewhere, the former Placebo support band Anglo-American duo The Kills, release new single "Love Is A Deserter" on Monday 30th May on Domino Records. This favourite from their fantastic live show is the second single from their album "No Wow". Bonus tracks include brand new songs, remixes by Cavemen and Phones (uber-producer Paul Epworth), plus a couple of Xfm session tracks co-produced by Edwyn Collins.

placebo is probably the best band ever. I live in southern ontario, canada, and i am getting a lot of people into them it's just that placebo doesnt try to get many fans over here. i never here any of their songs on muchmusic or the radio or anything. they are sooo.. famous in europe, asia, and mexico, but not really in noth america. they are a supppper good band, and they have so much talent. this cd is going to kick major ass, and I can't wait for it at all. I can assure you, that if you download songs by placebo or but their cds, you will not be disappointed. trust me on that one. everyone i have told to listen to them has liked them, and i have told a lottt.. of people. placebo is rock/alternative, and they are amzing. long live placebo!! p.s. brian molko is probably the hottest guy ever. and I'm not ashamed of saying that. they have been around since 1996, and I'm still surprised that not many people have heard of them. 5 cds, 19 singles (impressive, eh?) and they are all amazing songs. my favourites are "every you every me" and "special K". all their songs are amazing though, and they probably have the best lyrics I have ever heard, and i listen to a lot of music. brian molko is brilliant, and super hott lol
