POD Hire Producer Glen Ballard

P.O.D. has chosen 5-time Grammy Award winner Glen Ballard (Alanis Morisette, No Doubt) to produce their upcoming as-yet-untitled 6th studio album, reports Digital-Noize.

The band has been writing and demoing material for the past 5 months and just entered the studio on Tuesady, May 10th. The album is expected to be released later this year through Atlantic Records.

As previously reported, the band will try to get Korn's Jonathan Davis down to the studio to lay down vocals for one of the album cuts. "I asked him if he wanted to jump in and do a track with us, and he's actually confirmed," P.O.D. vocalist Sonny Sandoval said. "But he just had a baby, so he's been kind of lying low."

I am a big P.O.D. fan. I hope this album is good. Their last one was a little disappointing, still good, just a little dissappointing. With Davis it should be pretty cool.
