Radiohead To Release 'Nude' Single

Radiohead are to release Nude as the next single from their In Rainbows album and it will be backed by new b-sides.

XL Recordings release Nude on March 31st as a 7", CD and download. The 7" holds b-side 4 Minute Warning and the CD boasts Down Is The New Up.

Those who bought the limited In Rainbows discbox set last year will recognise the b-sides as songs included on Disc 2.

To coincide with the the release of Nude, Radiohead will also be giving fans the chance to remix the song - details of that will be announced shortly.

They were only released within the In Rainbows discbox set which was something like $100. Not everyone can pony up the cash for that, so they probably figured that this is a more affordable option for people to hear those specific songs.

Also, the version of "Down is the New Up" that appears on the "Jigsaw" single is a live recording done by only Thom on a piano. Maybe this version is a studio recording featuring the whole band, no?

someone explain to me how "Let Down" from OK computer wasnt a single? It should of got number 1 if it was released as a single back in '97 and should be still number 1 eleven years later. That is how good that song is.

And to sneaky: i personally like both Metallica and Radiohead. But really: musically Radiohead are the better band IMO. If you actually went and bothered to listen to some radiohead, you'd see that with every album they take a slightly different direction (Kid A/Amnesiac being obvious examples).

As for Metallica, they've kinda been doing the same thing for 20 years now...

Nude is a really average song to me. I adore Radiohead, but I just don't think it's that special. It showcases Thom's voice, but it doesn't really do anything with it that hasn't been done before. I think there have been other songs that have showed off his voice better, though they're not as easy to appreciate, like You and Whose Army?, Sail to the Moon, I Will, and Motion Picture Soundtrack.

I can say that I do like metallica, but the metallica ship has already sailed. Kirk Hammett in my oppinion is a typcal duche who uses way to much wah pedal on every solo because he thinks hes the Sh!t. Hettfield on the other hand is a great musician. Now to compare metallica with Radiohead is comparing Aaron Neville to Led Zeppelin. So suck on that!! Lol

Metallica WERE good but they've made too many crap/dull albums recently to make them as needed nowadays as Radiohead. The bands are from different eras and different styles of music anyway - its stupid comparing them. Its like trying to compare The Clash and Rihanna. I think Metallica should've quit while they were ahead though, I can't see them recapturing their old form.

...youre ridiculous...Radiohead are perfectionists and didnt release nude or the other songs back in 97 or 99 because they didnt think they were good enough to release. but youre probably too young to even know what the originals sounded like and when they came out and how theyve changed since then.... in addition...they take pride in their work unlike most bands out now.
