Rammstein: Second Single Release

artist: rammstein date: 01/29/2010 category: upcoming releases
rating: 0 / votes: 0

Rammstein will release a new single in the US on February 9 entitled "Ich Tu Dir Weh" exclusively through iTunes. The follow-up single to the controversial "Pussy" single/video, "Ich Tu Dir Weh" is taken from the Berlin-based band's critically acclaimed sixth studio album, Liebe Ist Für Alle Da.

The "Ich Tu Dir Weh" single bundle will include four remix bonus tracks and a digital booklet. The entire bundle is $4.99 and the songs will also be available for individual purchase.

Rammstein released the Jonas Åkerlund-directed video for "Ich Tu Dir Weh" in late December and it will also be available as a $1.99 download on iTunes starting February 9. Although the video is airing internationally, the track will not be released as a single in Gemany, Austria or Switzerland, where it has been subject to a government ban and removed from the album entirely, accompanied by changes to the artwork.

Liebe Ist Für Alle Da arrived in stores on 10/20/09 through a marketing and distribution arrangement with Vagrant Records and Universal Music Germany. The album was produced by Jacob Hellner and Rammstein with recording done at Northern California's Sonoma Mountain Studio. In the US the album entered the Billboard Charts at #13 - the highest chart entry for the band in the United States ever.

"Ich Tu Dir Weh" Tracklisting:

01. Ich Tu Dir Weh
02. Pussy (Scooter Remix)
03. Rammlied (Devin Townsend Remix)
04. Ich Tu Dir Weh (Smallboy Remix)
05. Ich Tu Dir Weh (F*kkk Off Mix)

Thanks for the report to The Gauntlet.com.

Probably the best song on the new album. Good choice.

Great choice... The video's been around for a while and I love it.

Paul confirmed the THIRD single (video) will be Haifisch, that's my favorite song from the album, it's really catchy.

I hope they also film a video for Wiener Blut, that one will kick ass for sure.

their last album really disappointed me,
there's nothing new, same cliché riffs, over the same vocals

it's getting boring

Mostly all of europe, anyone who bought the record that made it go #13. Countless industrial fans who consider them a groundbreaking, influential act, the musical genius Devon Townsend, I could go on and on, but you'd miss the point anyway, because obviously you're not a fan. Which brings me to my next question, why the hell are you even here then?

Go listen to your 30 seconds to mars cds.

Too bad the songs banned in Germany. But theres so many illegal copies of it floating around here that they cant really stop us from listening to it though.

I'd have to throw in my vote for Waidmanns Heil (as a single). It's the first song from the new album that my (non-German-speaking) 5-year old started singing along to, which in my mind, means that it would make a good single.

I could not have said it any better.

While their last album disappointed me a little, Rammstein are still a very big deal and I have a feeling their next album will knock it out of the park.

I saw the video, it's meh IMO. Song is awesome tho.

Wiener Blut is by far the best song on the album, followed by Bustabu and then this one.

I thought the album was amazing. They haven't wavered in their style or creativity.

yeah who cares. i'm german and rammstein badly disappointed me since "reise reise". the lyrics aren't that good anymore and it's all just for the money imo.
but i might check out the townsend remix. he's a genius.

ok. listened to the townsend remix. it sucks!

I have to admit I had to listen to the album two times before I totally liked it, but some songs did hook me on the first listening (Haifisch and Wiener Blut for example). I just wish the had added the bonus tracks 'Donaukinder' and 'Halt' to the regular version and it really would have been a home run.

I love the whole album though, but the song I'm not really into is Liese, just because it's Roter Sand all over again (not lyrically but musically), you get tired of it if you listen to the whole album and go through Roter Sand and the Orchester Version of it.

And I kinda agree with The Chauffeur, I really liked Rosenrot and LIFAD but they need to bring back some of that aggresivity and punch that Reise, Reise had (Mein Teil, duh, and Stein um Stein =D). Hilf Mir and Spring are some of the best from Rosenrot to me and remind me of that.

I love how german people appear to think their opinion of rammstein is more relevant, we're all fans therefore we're all the same in this situation.

Its like me saying "nickelback sucks" and it means more because im from vancouver, canada.

i said it because when i hear rammstein i understand every word and i know how the lyrics are ment. when i here tool e.g. i understand the half he's singing because english isn't my motherlanguage. i have to read the lyrics to understand the meaning.

That guy's dead, bro. And you're a chud.

I like these guys, but I'm pretty surprised their guitarist got a sig from ESP. It takes literally seconds to learn the guitar for these songs, and all the solos go to the keyboard player. They're not exactly guitar-centric.

I thought these guys broke up a few times. They're like a high school couple: "We broke up," "We're back together," "We broke up," "We're back together...for now." ; )

Rammstein have never broken up. The took some time off after Rosenrot to relax, but that wasn't even a hiatus. Meanwhile, Richard released his Emigrate stuff.
As for LIFAD, it's a solid album; however, I have to agree that it's definitely not as strong as Reise, Reise or their masterpiece, Mutter. With that said, Ich Tu Dir Weh, Waidmanns Heil, Buckstabu, and Fruhling in Paris are very, very good tracks.

Feuer Und Wasser, Heirate Mich, Weisses Fleisch, Donaukinder, Stein um Stein, Zerstoren (and I am sure I am missing some) all have geetar solos.

Hi , some time back I accidently discovered Rammstein . My god , I wohder now , how did I live without their music for all these years . There is so much melody in their music , especially it is Flake's keyboards that are creating the magic , but backed by solid guitaring of course . The guitaring is so simple but awesome . I don't understand a word of German , but it doesn't matter at all . LIFAD is such a great album , though it took some time to get the hang of it. I am discovering something new every day. Rammstein , please come to India soon .
