What happened to the plans to reform the Clash with Tim Armstrong in Joe Strummer's place?

It was just an ill-informed rumour.

Gah thats a shame its not going to be free for the people. Although seems like a good bang for the buck package.

Cool, I liked the song Hold On. The Aggrolites are a really good reggae band, saw them about a year ago. Hopefully there'll be another Rancid album sometime soon though.

Shit, I was hoping it would be free, there's some Kick-ass songs on that album (from the releases of "Hold On' and "Wake Up")

It doesnt explicitly say it won't be free, it just says it will have a "proper release date"

It was a fake. About 2 years ago, this rumor was originally posted at a Pearl Jam message board.

i dont know, i think that this album may be pretty decent. i mean, it is still worth checking out. Tim has become pretty stable with his music, and when you are in a legendary band like rancid, you tend to get a pretty good fan base..lol! i mean, look at the exposure of the transplants...you know? i think that tim's solo album is gonna rock.

I pray to god Op Ivy never reform.
As for Tim's solo album, it will probably be hit and miss - like most of Rancid's stuff.

Operation Ivy own. Can't buy their album in stores, though.

tim's pretty chill. Saw Rancid w/ Unseen last fall. When's the new Rancid due? I was pretty disapointed w/ their last album. Rancid 2000 was their last good album. Fingers crossed tho...
