Rancid Name New Album

Rancid have announced a title and release date for their highly anticipated new full length. The record is titled "Let The Dominoes Fall" and is due out June 2, 2009. The record is the first new full length since 2003's "Indestructible". In the intervening years, the band remained active with extensive tours as well as a number of solo and band releases like "B Sides and C Sides" and "The Music Videos: 1993-2003" DVD.

The band recorded at George Lucas' Skywalker Sound Studio, with production by Epitaph Records founder/Bad Religion guitarist Brett Gurewitz. It promises features nineteen new songs, all written by Rancid. Special guest and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Booker T contributes Hammond B3 organ on one track, "Up To No Good."

The band will be supporting the record on a co-headlining tour with Rise Against and supported by Rancid, Riverboat Gamblers and Billy Talent.

Indestructible was eh, especially with the terrible b-sides tacked on to the end of the album. Hopefully this will be more versatile stuff, like life won't or their self-titled 2000.

This is the best news I'll hear for weeks!!! I love Rancid, I don't care what you guys say, Indestructible was a great album, the B sides and C sides kicked ass and honestly I have yet to find some music by Rancid that I don't like, these guys are really talented and need to be appreciated for stuff other than ...And Out Come the Wolves, that album was amazing, but their new stuff is just as good in my opinion!

Point made: I'm picking this album up the day it's released, and Rancid effing rocks

As a whole I didn't enjoy Indestrucible as much AOUCTW or LWW, and although I haven't picked up the 2000 album, the single didn't appeal to me either.

But the fact is Rancid is capable of creating some damn enjoyable music, and a lot of the songs on Indestructible were pretty good. I'll definitely be looking forward to this! TBH I kinda gave up on their new album after seeing delay after delay after delay.

Now I'm only reporting this as what I've heard, but I heard that Tim's speech impediment is a result of alcoholism when he was younger. Anyone know for sure how it happened?

Dont listen to rancid as much anynore. out come the wolves and life wont wait were awesome. the 2 rancid titled albums were average.

I would be really excited if I was 15 still, but my tastes have evolved and Rancid didn't make the cut. I still might check out the album though.

Yes Indestructible was different but still a good album nonetheless. Rancid and Rise Against would be a kickass combination (for me)!
