Rise Against Name New Album

Rise Against have announced release plans for their forthcoming album. The record is titled "Appeal To Reason" and is due out October 07, 2008. It is the follow-up to "The Sufferer & The Witness" which was released in 2006.

The band teamed up with Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendents) and Jason Livermore to record at the Blasting Room in Ft. Collins, CO - the same production team and studio used for "The Sufferer & The Witness" and "Revolutions Per Minute".

Along with the album news, the band announced plans for a headlining tour this Fall. The Live Nation-produced tour will include openers Alkaline Trio, Thrice and Gaslight Anthem. Official tour dates to be announced soon.

I am jealous of that tour. Rise Against, AK3, Thrice and Gaslight all on the same bill is immense. I hope that comes to the UK, but I am doubtful

another album coming out before 2008 is over that i can look forward to. rise against never fails. btw, the other the other albums to look forward to are the metallica album and hopefully an alice in chains album. all in all, 2008 is a pretty good year for music. maybe soon we won't have to hear as much of this pop garbage.

Good thing I live in Chicago, because they will definately come here. After all, Rise Against and Alkaline Trio are from Chicago.

They churn out albums pretty fast or is it just me? i've been a fan since Revolutions Per Minute, and i do have to say, i cant wait for this album, as the rest have all been great. IMO

The last one was released like 2 years ago, I think.

Anyway, these guys are awesome in the studio and live. I hope this album is as great as Siren Songs of Counter Culture!

they dont really release albums that quickly.. this one and the last 2 have 2 year gaps between them.. i think thats pretty reasonable
