You really have to give props to Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo. Hot off the heels of a new Weezer record and a successful tour, he’s already planning to release another collection of demos and B-sides like last year’s "Alone: The Home Recordings Of Rivers Cuomo".
Currently listed on Amazon.com as "Alone II: The Home Recordings Of Rivers Cuomo", fans can pre-order it now before it gets released on November 25.
The original " Alone" compilation featured unreleased songs and demos dating back before the band’s debut " Blue Album" all the way up to the recording sessions for their latest " Red Album" and even included tracks from the band’s unreleased space-themed rock opera " Songs From The Black Hole".
In other news, Weezer guitarist Brian Bell recently revealed in an interview that the band’s next single will be "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations On A Shaker Hymn)" and the video will likely be directed by "Buddy Holly" director Spike Jonze.
Report by David Lowe-Bianco.

: No one deny it. Next to nirvana, Weezer is the most influential band from the alt boom. Too bad most of the bands that cite Weezer as an influence are dreadful (I'm looking at you Dashboard...)POSTED: 10/22/2008 - 01:29 pm / quote |

: I don't know what to think of this band. Rivers is a smart cookie, though. I'd like it if they stayed out of the mainstream a little more. Last album was awful, imhoPOSTED: 10/22/2008 - 10:13 pm / quote |

I honestly don't know what to think of this song. It's really bizarre and it changes in a very awkward way. I loved "Troublemaker" that should be a single. Overall the red album was pretty alright. I never heard "Alone" but I heard it was decent.POSTED: 10/22/2008 - 10:25 pm / quote |

: I just saw Weezer and AVA about a month ago. Weezer was fantastic, sang a huge assortment of songs, a few from every album. And I was in the very front
AVA though...ugh.POSTED: 10/23/2008 - 10:42 am / quote |

I'm excited too, for both Weezer and AVA, more for Weezer though
I looked up Tokyo Police Club a little while ago. Can't remember much but I don't think I was too impressed. Who knows, we'll see. Cool to see another UGer going to a concert that I am!POSTED: 10/24/2008 - 06:04 pm / quote |
