The Roadrunner Records "All Stars" project, featuring some of the biggest names from the world of hard rock, is taking shape, reports Soundgenerator. The collaborative release, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the renowned rock label, has now elected a "Captain", as well as further artists to participate in the release - bringing the tally to around 50 musicians!
Three musicians,
Joey Jordison (
Slipknot),
Dino Cazares (ex-
Fear Factory/
Brujeria) and
Robert Flynn (
Machine Head), had previously been chosen to lead the project, producing and writing all the songs. Now, 19 year-old
Matt Heafy, of up-and-coming metal act
Trivium, will also join the collective. "It blew my mind to be asked to participate on this album and write a few tracks," says
Heafy "It's an amazing honour to be able to record with artists that I used to emulate and listen to growing up."
Each of the four musicians is not only responsible for writing and recording each track they submit, but also assembling Roadrunner artists to collaborate with.
