Rock legend Robert Plant
of Led Zeppelin
recently gave a brief studio update, confirming nearly wrapping up a new record with his band Sensational Space Shifters
"Sensational Space Shifters album ... lost for words,"
the singer posted, along with an attached image.
The six-piece is known for covering a vast array from genres, ranging anywhere from straightforward rock to the more exotic vibe of West Africa, Greenwich Village folk, as well as classic Chicago blues.
"I'm able to get the 'R.P.' voice back out there again,"
Plant told Rolling Stone
earlier this summer. "I don't have to be so concerned about making sure I am in harmony with anyone else since I'm mostly singing alone this time. I won't have to worry about Patty
of Band of Joy
] glaring at me when I f--k up this time!"
Plant unveiled his latest studio effort "Band of Joy" in 2010. Named after his band at the time, the album landed at No. 5 on the Billboard 200
chart and No. 3 on the UK Albums Chart
