Rock Band 2: Track List

The full track listing for the upcoming Rock Band 2 has been revealed. According to a report from Kotaku, the listing will include 84 songs, all culled from master recordings and feature artists like:

i hate how there is a lack of other metalcore or hardcore bands and i wish they would've used some older afi songs. I like afi but there old stuff had way better guitar riffs. I like rock band and i think it's a great game, but i always prefered the songs on guitar hero.
AND, the next Guitar Hero is going to have a drumset as well(announced at E3) so i'd wait until they announce their songs.

This setlist has a lot of potential for various band members to totally fail on. Glad to see AiC, Peace Sells (fav. 'deth song) and ****ing MASTODON for a change. Who;st reading the first half, Man in the BOx was the only thing keeping this game alive until about Colony of Birchmen, then it just took off. There are definitely an equal number of good and bad songs, as to appeal to a wide demographic, but I'm actually impressed with the metal songs they did put on there. I hear they're working on a GH Metallica which will undoubtedly include crap from St. Anger and the Load albums. My only complaint with including the D in any GH or Rock Band game, is that they put in shitty songs. The Metal and Master Exploder are among their worst. I want to see Kielbasa or Beelzeboss on a game. Although, that would ruin the songs, as half the lyrics wouldn't exist. There's my 3 cents, now ****ing get it on!

Pretty pleased with the list, a nice variety, and some epic metal tracks (Battery, Peace Sells, Painkiller, Souls of Black, etc)

my only complaint is that they're using Ace of Spades by Motorhead AGAIN!
GH 1 had it
it was DLC for GH 2
then GH 3
there are substantially better Motorhead songs (not saying that Ace of Spades is bad, just repetative after 3 games). Gimme some more Motorhead! :P

I don't know if I'm alone here but...I really would like to see me more modern stuff on both rock band and guitar hero...they're getting more and more but they need an equal amount of oldies and new music. i love the oldies especially The Who and Journey but a lot of the consumers aren't even old enough to know who they are...love the game but need balance of generations!
