Fourteen classic Rolling Stones albums will be re-mastered and re-released this year, reports Billboard.com.
This May will see the re-releases of "Sticky Fingers," "Goats Head Soup," "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" and "Black And Blue." In June we’ll see "Some Girls," "Emotional Rescue," "Tattoo You" and "Undercover." The remaining albums, "Dirty Work," "Steel Wheels," "Voodoo Lounge," "Bridges To Babylon" and "A Bigger Bang," will be released in July. Additionally, the band’s 1972 album, "Exile On Main Street," will be reissued later this year in a special edition.
"
The Rolling Stones redefined music," says
Max Hole of Universal Music Group International in a press release. "
By making these iconic albums available again - and retaining the essence of the original track listings and sleeve design - we believe that music fans will rediscover just why they are the world's greatest rock & roll band."
The collection will also be made available digitally.
