Sevendust are gearing up for the October 11 release of their fifth studio album, "Next", on WineDark Records (distributed by Fontana Distribution, a division of Universal Music and Video Distribution).
The album’s first single, "Ugly", is already exploding at Rock radio after being released August 9. It's currently bulleted on the following charts: #30 on R&R's "Active Rock"; #33 on Billboard's "Active Rock Tracks"; and #33 on Billboard's "Mainstream Rock Tracks."
A video for "
Ugly" was shot in Los Angeles, CA on August 28 and 29 with
P.R. Brown (Billy Corgan, Mötley Crüe) behind the lens. It's expected to invade TV airwaves by mid-September.
Not one to turn down an invitation to help support troops fighting overseas, Sevendust recently participated in an extra special event hosted by WAAF-FM in Boston. On August 26, the station broadcasted live from a brand new home built by Homes For Our Troops for an Iraqi war veteran who recently returned home and is now confined to a wheelchair. The band leant a hand to the construction of the house throughout the day and entertained the 300-plus volunteers with songs old and new at a party later that evening.
Sevendust are currently making plans to launch a U.S. tour starting in January. Stay tuned for details.
