Slash Records Song With Dave Grohl And Duff McKagan

Slash has revealed that he recorded a track with Dave Grohl and Duff McKagan.

The former Guns N' Roses and current Velvet Revolver guitarist revealed the news on his Twitter.com/slashHudson account. Writing on the page, he said that Grohl plays drums on the track, while McKagan plays bass.

"Great jamming w/Duff & Grohl tonight, the track is a killer instrumental, very heavy," he Tweeted.

Slash's solo album – called "Slash & Friends" – is reportedly due for release in early 2010. The album is confirmed to feature a number of guest musicians, including Iggy Pop, Nick Oliveri, Ronnie Wood, Flea, Jason Bonham, Fergie and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine.

Ol news, this was in the GNR thread at least 2 days ago.
Oh well, still lookin forward to the album. I think it's funny how the old GNR crew have released multiple albums since they left (not counting individually) and Axl's only released CD.

That was just Axl and Nirvana, mostly Kurt. Dave did shout, "Hey Axl!" at the MTV Video Music Awards when Nirvana's performance went haywire, though [when Krist threw his bass in the air and it came down on his head]. XD.

Slash did a song with Fergi. Although people are assuming that this song would suck, im gonna go out on a limb and say its probably gonna be one of the best songs on the album because the combination of the two, and the two contrasting styles will be surprising.

I hope Slash does a tune with Kirk Hammett, maybe an instrumental, those two guys toured together during the early nineties and their guitar styles have alot in common, esspecially since their both huge fans of the wah pedal!

Slash, I think you should also do a song with Chris Robertson from Black Stone Cherry!

My bad im not very good with replying to comments. And im not so sure about the Kirk Hammett thing. The last time they met up was in 1992 and that ended in a riot. Long story short. Metallica+Slash=Riot. Also I do know that Axl was the one who caused the riot but I think there is still bad blood there.

in Slashs' bio he says the rest of the band got along great with metallica, they just couldn't stand axl rose.

If anybody can remeber the axl/nirvana incident, Slash and Duff recording a song with David Grohl is a great way of telling off axl and his g'n'r cover band. I love it. I know Slash's new record will be way more sucessfull than chinese democracy.
