Apple's iTunes music store is currently accepting pre-orders for "All Hope Is Gone" featuring four bonus tracks, including one that will be made available exclusively to those customers who pre-order the CD.

And there is no logic in the more people, the faster. Arguably it would take longer, because there would be more disagreements on how things should sound, and alot more people to record.

They probably dont even have a say in it, its the label. Bands barely make anything off cd sales, corey even said that in a recent interview, they go out and tour and rely mostly on merch

I am looking forward to this album. To me, Slipknot reminds me of my middle school/high school years. When I first listened to "Iowa" (especially the title track) and was creeped out and uneasy. No other music had done that to me. That progressed into me buying Vol. 3 behind my mom's back because I knew she would have killed me had she known. And here I am today, awaiting their newest iteration. I can't wait.

And a word to those insulting the maggots and proclaiming your favorite death metal bands to be superior: not everyone wants to listen to obscene music simply because it's the heaviest music out there. Slipknot may not be death metal or the "heaviest" around, but I don't feel like I'm going to Hell when I listen to them. So please, I know it makes you feel like you're better than us on some level, but I'd appreciate it if you left a Slipknot comment list...to Slipknot fans...or at least say something productive.

That is the most immature viewpoint possible. If a band has to swear to make their music good, then the music is no good. Slipknot doesn't need to swear; they can be decent (not great, but decent) with or without swearing.

A Tout le Mond was actually completely re-recorded. It wasn't just a remix. As far as I'm concerned, the new one is better.

That's the Slipknot I know and love. The cover art looks amazing and the tracks sound really good. All Hope is Gone sounded really nice, definitely Iowa-related to me. Hopefully they'll incorporate some melody into this nicely. But as far as this news so far, off to a good start.

the brutality on IOWA was awesome, but then they shoved it down a notch on Vol.3 in place of awesome guitar work and musicality in general. From what I've heard of this album so far they have got the perfefct mix- really heavy songs with great musicality, solos etc...its sounds awesome!!

Also, to all the knobs that keep saying that their death metal bands are better than any other simply becuase theyre heavier, please piss off. For starters music is about so much more than heaviness and though many death metal bands know their way around their instruments, just being heavier does not make them better. Think, please.

Go get a 360 degree protractor, and put it over the artwork, and look at what numbers line up. The same goes for the 235 in the bottom left.

There definately is some significance
artists of any style of music or art try to put meaning into every aspect of what they do
its not just random numbers on the picture, if you do some research, they are important numbers mathamatically and astrologically, and the degrees amounts actually have relation to astrological signs
aswell, the wheat feilds are probably connected
they didn't just take a picture in a feild, add some numbers, and throw it on a CD cover
