It's not new. It was on one of the Underworld soundtracks. It's one of my favorite remixes ever.
Anyway, judging by the 2 songs already out, this is looking like it will be their best.POSTED: 07/09/2008 - 08:06 am / quote |

Exactly, cause Corey is so br00tal with his gay angsty vocals and laughable lyrics. Slipknot wish they could come up with a riff that his half as good as the intro to Symbolic or pretty much anything in God of Emptiness. POSTED: 07/09/2008 - 02:49 pm / quote |

: I am looking forward to this album. To me, Slipknot reminds me of my middle school/high school years. When I first listened to "Iowa" (especially the title track) and was creeped out and uneasy. No other music had done that to me. That progressed into me buying Vol. 3 behind my mom's back because I knew she would have killed me had she known. And here I am today, awaiting their newest iteration. I can't wait.
And a word to those insulting the maggots and proclaiming your favorite death metal bands to be superior: not everyone wants to listen to obscene music simply because it's the heaviest music out there. That is the most immature viewpoint possible. If a band has to swear to make their music good, then the music is no good. Slipknot doesn't need to swear; they can be decent (not great, but decent) with or without swearing.

: I just listened to All Hope is Gone and Psychosocial in hopes that they might have made something decent this time, and I've concluded that "All Hope is Gone" is the most appropriately titled album ever. I guess I should have known better.POSTED: 07/09/2008 - 08:37 pm / quote |

: lol, i find it amusing how hard these guys try to be "real metal". each album has gotten heavier, from what ive heard, and these two new songs are just like some vocal exercises for taylor.
you cant hear a frikken word he is saying, it sounds like daffy duck having an echidna halfway down his throat to make it sound raspy.
and they still cant make some decent guitar work.
lets hope the rest of the album is an improvement or else, its just sad lol.POSTED: 07/09/2008 - 10:27 pm / quote |

: the brutality on IOWA was awesome, but then they shoved it down a notch on Vol.3 in place of awesome guitar work and musicality in general. From what I've heard of this album so far they have got the perfefct mix- really heavy songs with great musicality, solos etc...its sounds awesome!!
Also, to all the knobs that keep saying that their death metal bands are better than any other simply becuase theyre heavier, please piss off. For starters music is about so much more than heaviness and though many death metal bands know their way around their instruments, just being heavier does not make them better. Think, please.
Can't wait for the new album!!POSTED: 07/09/2008 - 11:13 pm / quote |

Nu-metal is not metal. Slipknot is nu-metal.

wow..... um..... thats quite observant of u, but ur missing one key thing there..... nu-metal has metal in its name so.... i have a feeling that it is in fact a branch off of metal somewhere, think harder next time
i actually like slipknot quite a bit, but i still dont see how it takes nine people to make the music they do, i guess they can actually play the parts that other bands just mix in to their songs, but i havent seen them live so i dont know how organized they are (kinda doubtful of much with the masks and all)POSTED: 07/09/2008 - 11:30 pm / quote |

im pretty sure that 315 degrees has something to do with an astrological symbol of "waning" or "slow loss of power"
could be leading to their subject of the album's
loss of hope, loss of power, maybe some connection
i dunno, just throwing it out therePOSTED: 07/09/2008 - 11:37 pm / quote |

'All Hope Is Gone' is a decent track but slipknot can do way better.

Heaviest music ever?!?! hahaha oh that's ****ing good, seriously, you mallcore teenagers need to listen to some Deicide, Morbid Angel and Death.
I can't believe that so many Shitknot fans actually exist.
This is true. Oh budding music enthusiasts... there is MUCH heavier music out there. Think outside the mainstream.
Exactly, cause Corey is so br00tal with his gay angsty vocals and laughable lyrics. Slipknot wish they could come up with a riff that his half as good as the intro to Symbolic or pretty much anything in God of Emptiness. |

hey man, I aprecciate that people like other bands, and if you don't like the bands that I like, then thats cool. I wasn't yelling at him for not liking them, I was 'yelling' at him for coming into an article regarding the new Slipknot album with the intention of bashing Slipknot fans for the exact reason that you just specified. I may have bashed a band that he likes just out of spite, but I didn't go into a Sonata Arctica article and say "Look at all you fags that listen to Sonata Arctica." Go get a 360 degree protractor, and put it over the artwork, and look at what numbers line up. The same goes for the 235 in the bottom left.

There definately is some significance
artists of any style of music or art try to put meaning into every aspect of what they do
its not just random numbers on the picture, if you do some research, they are important numbers mathamatically and astrologically, and the degrees amounts actually have relation to astrological signs
aswell, the wheat feilds are probably connected
they didn't just take a picture in a feild, add some numbers, and throw it on a CD coverPOSTED: 07/10/2008 - 11:39 am / quote |
