Slipknot Frontman To Guest On New Walls Of Jericho Release

According to Blabbermouth.net, detroit's Walls Of Jericho is wrapping up work on its new EP, to be released in March 2008 on Trustkill. Produced by Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor at his Iowa home studio, the CD will be included with Walls Of Jericho's "Live in South America" DVD, which was filmed this past August. In addition to frontwoman Candace Kucsulain's singing voice, heretofore only glimpsed in rare moments on Walls Of Jericho's albums, the upcoming release will feature acoustic instruments, fleshed out arrangements, and Taylor's voice on several songs.

Taylor met Walls Of Jericho when the band shared the stage with STONE SOUR on The Family Values Tour. He previously said in a statement, "I love this band, and the fact that their trust in me makes me incredibly grateful. I'm so excited to do this it's going to be amazing!!! I've never produced anything like this before, so I'm going a little crazy. I can't wait."

Walls Of Jericho is fronted by Candace Kucsulain, who defines the word "intense," whether melodically singing or delivering earth-shattering screams. Rounded out by Chris Rawson (guitar), Mike Hasty (guitar) and Aaron Ruby (bass) the band has been touring relentlessly in support of its third album, "With Devils Amongst Us All".

I'm getting the feeling that at least the last two paragraphs are taken from the news post saying 'Slipknot's Taylor to produce new Walls of Jericho', or something along those lines.

Meh.

Dude that's a bunch of crap lol... anyone who knows about Stone Sour knows he's been seen plenty of times without his mask on, and if you think the mask is what makes him metal, you're a sad, strange little person.

This is an old pic, he shaved his head this year.

You seem to have lost your sarcasm detector sir.

Yeah, I'm not really bothered about this. Walls Of Jericho are good, but I'd rather he started work on a new Slipknot or Stone Sour album. Preferably Stone Sour

Yeah, its basically Stuck Mojo and him singing,

Walls of Jericho is way intense live, though their music is a bit generic hardcore punk
I don't know if Corey Taylor is going to do that good of a job producing, he has almost no credits to his name

they need to stop calling him "corey taylor of slipknot". "corey taylor of stone sour" would be much better. even just "corey taylor" would be much better

Cool, I heard WOJ once, and I liked it, plus, they're from Michigan. And Corey Taylor is friggin awesome! Good luck to them all. Maybe Corey should produce the next Slipknot album.

agree with everyone else, Stone sour, muderdolls and so forth. Stop mucking around with pointless side projects.
get in the studo and produce a awesome slipknot album.
The last slipknot album was lacking becasue eveyone had spent so much time with side projects.
ideas go stale.

The last slipknot album sucked because slipknot has no fire anymore, their self titled had so much energy and was real, now they are all hollywood and just force out material that sounds like b-sides of Iowa

I once enjoyed Slipknot, still do. Only their Iowa and self-titled works, though. I don't care if they're considered "nu-metal" or whatever the hell people label them. I don't adhere to labels anyways - they're ignorant and only incite childish arguments.

But yeah, I wonder how he'll do with the production process?

You're meant to say "they're ignorant" in a Michael Jackson voice, like on South Park.

Yea i feel the same way about the labeling... Not a WOJ fan, but I wonder how he'll do with the production. And I wonder if he'll produce the new slipknot album
