According to an April 7 posting on Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan's Twitter account, he is currently editing a new DVD for the band's forthcoming ten-year package. "Wait until you see this stuff!" he says.
Slipknot filmed a video for the song "Sulfur" on March 9 in the Los Angeles area with director P.R. Brown (Mötley Crüe, Marilyn Manson, Chimaira, Avenged Sevenfold), who helmed the last two Slipknot clips, "Psychosocial" and "Dead Memories". The video is expected to make its online debut soon.
Slipknot recently wrapped another hugely successful headline tour across the U.S. and continues to rack up accolades for its fourth album, " All Hope Is Gone". The current single, " Dead Memories", landed at the #1 position on R&R's Active Rock chart. This is the first #1 radio single of the band's career, which follows up their first #1 on The Billboard 200 sales chart in August of last year. The video is also the most played at Fuse this week. Additionally, Slipknot was recently awarded with an EMMA Award for "Best International Act." The EMMAs are the Finnish equivalent of the Grammys.
Thanks for the report to Blabbermouth.net.

Very good skinnyeddy, and if you wanted to see a bunch of racecars race around, where would you go?

: That's great they're making another dvd and all, now if only they could learn how to play their instruments (Lookin' at you James and Mick). They're not a terrible band (though not good either), just crazy over rated.POSTED: 04/14/2009 - 10:06 am / quote |

: All hope is gone was a dreadful album, really corny lyrics that to me was just an extension of the emo grabbing stone sour - still, Id like to see a dvd of them again... Im still intrigued by them for some reason, even if I cant help but cringe whenever I see them or hear them speak crap about their lives...POSTED: 04/14/2009 - 01:15 pm / quote |

: I digress, but the funny thing here is that music videos have somewhat became a lost art. I remember the good old days when MTV aired music videos practically all day up until the nightly shows. Now, it has evolved into nothing but lame reality TV shows; we might as well call it RTV, because it's definitely not "Music Television" anymore.
Anyways, I saw Slipknot at Rupp on Valentine's Day this year--absolutely RAW! Keep it up, guys.POSTED: 04/14/2009 - 05:34 pm / quote |
