Chicago, Illinois-based heavy rock band Soil has entered Groovemaster Recording studios in the group's hometown with Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Finger Eleven) to begin recording its new album, to be released via Driven Music Group, the Phoenix, Arizona-based music label and entertainment company created by former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. Soil's fifth studio album and the third CD Johnny K has produced for the band (alongside "Scars" and "Redefine"), the effort is currently untitled and is tentatively scheduled for a spring 2009 release. According to the band, the new album will be its "most unique and diverse to date."
