Static-X: Live Album Details

Los Angeles metallers Static-X has announced the release of its first full-length live concert DVD, entitled "Cannibal Killers Live", on October 7 via Reprise Records. The concert was shot during a show in Spokane, Washington on June 2, 2007, shortly after the release of the band's latest album, "Cannibal".

Wayne Static has issued the following statement on the band's official site:

"I am proud to announce October 7th as the release date for our much anticipated, first full-length live concert dvd entitled "Cannibal Killers Live." The show was recorded in Spokane, Washington shortly after the release of our sixth cd "Cannibal" last year. The 17 song set list on that tour included material from our entire career, all the old favorites like "Push It" and "Bled For Days," new songs from "Cannibal," and everything in between. This dvd looks and sounds absolutely awesome, and I can't wait to share it with you! And if the live show isn't enough, we're also throwing in every music video we've ever made and a separate audio cd of the concert. Check back here for pre-order info and details on the special edition package, which includes yet another entire concert from 1997 recorded at The Whiskey in Hollywood, two years before the release of our first cd "Wisconsin Death Trip!"

Cannot wait! I've wanted a DVD from them forever! But then The Good Ol' Osbournes had to shut down them pressing "Where the Hell are We and What Day is It?" with Ozzfest footage, so now luckily we get something! I'm buying this day of release. They are really great to see live. And I know there's gonna be a ton of funny side pranks and stuff to watch.

Two more points:

UG- it's not a Live Album, it's a Live DVD, so please change the headline.

And aren't they on Warner Bros. now? So how are the releasing this under Relapse?

Reprise is owned by Warner Bros. Its a sub-label.

Sick. I think Static-X is one of those bands who's music just sounds better live, more full of energy and harder sounding than on the albums, much like Rammstein. Can't wait for this.

There wasn't any on their last studio album either. I assume they're shaking off the idea of using songs with "Otsego" in the title. the 1997 show that comes with the special edition might have one though.

Thats how i found this band. I'm not much into the genre, but heard about these songs which are named after my hometown and thought that I'd give them a listen. I'm not a huge fan but i do enjoy them somewhat.

There's kind of a soft spot in my heart for Static-X since they were pretty much the band that got me into metal. That being said, I've seen them live twice, first time they were great, second time they were terrible (probably mostly because they played crap off Cannibal) but it looks like it's mostly good stuff on here, I'll consider buying it for a friend.

Static-X is an okay of a band. They have some good songs though. I've seen a vid on youtube that had them playing live with John 5 as a guest guitarist. He just blew them away by adding some soloing and fills to their songs.

Actually, if you read carefully, it says that every edition of the DVD will come with a live audio CD. The headline isn't wrong, it just doesn't include all the information that the article contains :P

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really looking forward to this. Shit in a Bag is one of my favorite songs from them, but I've always hated the fact that they only play it live and I can't find it on any album.

Not only will I have it, but a live version to boot! Great live band, good energy.

Im glad they waited until they had 5 albums under there belts before doing this I will definatly be getting myself a special edition package.

It wont be long till there 6th studio album either xD
