Stone Temple Pilots
have officially unveiled their second single featuring Linkin Park
's Chester Bennington
on vocals. Titled "Black Heart
," the tune comes off upcoming EP "High Rise
," due out on October 8 through 13Star.
The song itself can be described as a classic rocker, with a steady groove, catchy riff and Bennington's vocals additionally spicing it up. Make sure to check it out below and let us know what you think.
STP are currently busy on the US road with a string of dates bound to keep them busy touring until the end of the month.
The group's court battle with former frontman Scott Weiland
is still very much in the public limelight, as lawsuits on both sides are yet to determine all the legal aspects.
As for the "High Rise" EP, the release features five tracks, including the opening tune "Out of Time
" that introduced the listeners to Bennington-fronted STP edition. Apart from "Black Heart," the rest of the song titles include "Same on the Inside
," "Cry Cry
" and "Tomorrow
." As previously reported, the EP cover has a line saying "with Chester Bennington" added below the Stone Temple Pilots logo.
