They always seem to forget the fact that the Deleo brothers put out a fantastic album with Richard Patrick and Ray Luzier (Army Of Anyone).

I saw them not too long ago and they still put on a great show. Hopefully the new album will be amazing.

Saw them earlier this month. But on a fantastic show. Had a great set list. Just hope the new album will be just as good.

Nice. Never heard a song I didn't like from these guys.

2010 looks great for albums so far, MGMT's new album, STP's new album, The Horrors new album, looks good.

I thought this was older news? No?

I remember thinking about a year ago 'oh man, i can't wait until that new STP album comes out next year!'

You must be sorely mistaken sir. No. 4 was their best album to date. Shangri-la was not so good, however. I do agree that I hope this new one is an improvement because if they make something better than that masterpiece, I will be in awe.

Just saw 'em in Reading a couple weeks ago. I couldn't believe how kick azz they still are after all this time. Just as good as when I saw em back in 2000. Do hope the album is better than the last one though

+1 A very good and very underrated album. I'd rather see Army of Anyone record a new record than STP.

European Tour in summer '10? Hopefully.

All of their albums had some great stuff. Personally I can't decide which release is the best. Every one of them give a different atmosphere. Maybe not every fan enjoy, but there is simply no reason to dispute over 'personal charts'.
Anyway, the should play some new stuff to give some kind of taste of the new CD. Also they ought to revise their setlists. Mostly it's: Core+Purple+bonuses(usually no Shangri-La:x).

Im so psyched for this...I saw them live last July and honestly, they were the tightest live band I've seen yet. I actually saw Velvet Revolver just that January, right before they axed Scott, and they were great but nowhere near as tight as STP...so this album, hopefully, should be great!

i'm right along with that my friend, every album has something great about it, and for that reason, I can't decide either. I like the heaviness and groove of their first few albums then the switch to a more psychedelic sound on Shangri-La. Just hoping this has it's own unique atmosphere and i'll be happy! (on the other hand, i'm not happy that they charge so much for their concert tickets)

AIC just dropped their new CD not too long ago and its pretty awesome as it contains the AIC sound i've grown to love .. I hope this STP album delivers the same =/

Not I. God, that album was good. Even when they covered STP songs, it sounded amazing.

i saw them in new jersey on their comeback tour...it was pretty awful, scott wasnt singing well at all and he kept forgetting lyrics. i dont even remember how the rest of the band sounded because he was so distracting. ive only heard good things about their other shows lately though, and i just hope the new cd goes back to something like their old style rather than scotts solo albums. back before they split they said their sixth cd would sound like core, but its been a while since then and i hope they still feel that way

Im happy to hear STP is gonna make some music ago. I can only hope its going to be as good as Core. And its good to see that Scott Weiland will be singing with them again. I think this could be a good album.

This group has put out a lot of great music. My favorite song by them is still Interstate Love Song, but they came out of the blocks with their best album with Core. That album is just a beast.
