The Killers Name New Album

The Killers have named their new album "Battle Born", it has been confirmed today.

"Battle Born" will be the Las Vegas bands fourth album, their first since "Day & Night" in 2008.

Speaking to Rolling Stone about the album title, lead singer Brandon Flowers said: "In a sense, all Americans are battle born. Our ancestors came here for something better."

Drummer Ronnie Vanucci added: "It's living up to its title. This is our difficult fourth record."

Song titles confirmed for the album, due out before the end of 2012, include: "Heart Of A Girl", "Flesh And Bone", "Carry Me Home" and "Runaways".

The Killers headline this year's V Festival alongside The Stone Roses, appearing in Stafford and Chelmsford on August 18-19.

Not the heaviest rock band, granted, but they beat the SH*T out of any other pop band these days, so I'll take what I get! Killers are pretty awesome IMO.
