The Killers To Release Third Album This November

The Killers as yet-untitled third album will be released this November, according to sources at their record label, Island.

The band are understood to be putting the finishing touches to the record, the follow-up to 2006's "Sam's Town", in their Las Vegas studio at the moment.

Although song details are not clear, it has been confirmed that the record is being produced by Stuart Price, who is also known as Jacques Lu Cont.

Price was behind a remix of the band's debut album song "Mr Brightside", which turned into a huge club track, and Madonna's 2005 album "Confessions on a Dance Floor".

The band's bassist Mark Stoermer hinted at the collaboration in an interview last year with MTV.

Hopefully it'll be more like Hot Fuss and less like Sam's Town, ST just didnt beat the first album IMO.

Hot Fuss was awful. IT was poppy and boring. Sams town really saw the band find its sounds. Vocals were so awesome. For Reasons Unknown they seem to get better and better with each release.

The Killers have such a unique sound but a lot of their songs sound too similar...admit it

They need more variety and their sound is great but I think they can still improve, they've got a lot of potential

Heres to hoping the 3rd album will outdo both Sam's Town and Hot Fuss!

i reckon The Killers should delve into progressive rock, either way they are still awesome.

The Killers are interesting. Hot Fuss was an interesting record, but it sounded a bit commercial. The fact is that the Killers used it as a gimmick to gain fans, with "Mr. Brightside." It sounds too much like pop music. Other tracks on the album are alright. Sam's Town, however, showed how the band wanted to experiment. The band should really try and recapture its glory days, but with a sound like Sam's Town. One band they sound like is Interpol.

All their songs are great. Hot Fuss had a more synth feel, while Sam's Town had a more indie/rock feel. No album is better than the other it's just what appeals to you. But I admit that their are songs on Hot Fuss that I like more.
