The Living End New Album Details

According to reports from Bombshellzine.com, Australia's finest, The Living End, will be releasing their new album, "White Noise" on July 19, 2008 in Australia through Dew Process Records.

Frontman Chris Cheney added:

"A lot of the songs have a depth and weight to them that people havent neccesarily heard from us before. The songs sound really huge. I wouldn't say heavy metal as such, although there are definatly a bunch of metal licks and influences in there. There's more of a hard rock element, but I think you really need to hear it to understand it properly."

The album was recorded in Hoboken, New Jersey with producer John Agnello (Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady, Dinosaur Jr.) and will be mixed by Brenden O'Brien (AC/DC, From First To Last). The record follows "State of Emergency" released in 2006 via EMI in Australia and via Adeline in North America.

On a related, but completely surreal note, here is some video of "Prisoner of Society" being performed by Jesse Blaze Snider, the son of Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider.

ive heard a lot of the new stuff at the shows recently, and i have been going to shows for years and years. the vibe and energy on this one feels really good. better than State Of Emergency. although i do like that album

It all comes down to personal opinion, if you were to ask me I'd say that Parkway Drive are the greatest band to ever come out of Australia (I am Australian for the record) however many others would argue that a band like Silverchair are much better and have been much more successful.

Note that I say one of the greatest bands, because I will not say the greatest because people have a different opinion to me.

chris cheney could take angud young any day, and that's all that's good about ac dc.
tle have incorperated so much more into their music than any other band out of aus. all three members are sweet at their respected instruments.

IMO, itd be a toss up between acdc, midnight oil, john butler trio and the living end. not that it matters..

anything these guys come up with is gunna be gr8. their older stuff is definately better though cos its FASTER n has more energy.

i Fuckin like the idea of them recording their heavier side. hopefully itll be stuff like that song "bloody mary".
