The Police are set to release a new live album and DVD.
"The Police: Certifiable" is out November 24, and was recorded at the Riverplate Stadium in Buenos Aires during the band's reunion tour last summer.
Songs set for inclusion include "Message In A Bottle", "Every Breath You Take" and "Walking On The Moon".
The release also includes a bonus feature called " Better Than Therapy", which features behind-the-scenes interviews from the band and road crew, as well as photo galleries.
The Police played what is believed to be their final gig at Madison Square Garden in New York on August 7.
Thanks for the report to Nme.com.

: Yeah, they can't just have a nearly-sold out world tour, they have to milk for a CD & DVD filled with performances by a mediocre band about 22 years past their prime, reunion shows are only good when the bands were good to begin with, like Cream and Led Zeppelin.POSTED: 09/17/2008 - 09:36 am / quote |

mediocre??? i can't pity you more.
and regarding reunion, i guess you haven't seen their performances lately. and if you have, then there's more reason to call you a moron.
the police are loving it. I hope they actually enter the studio after this and record new material.POSTED: 09/17/2008 - 12:41 pm / quote |
Sgt. Pepper
: I think that's a pretty pathetic comment - do you remember the Led Zeppelin Reuinion at Live Aid in '85? HORRENDOUS, it wasn't even included on the final DVD, you can get the clips on Youtube, Plant's voice is shot, Page is sloppier than ever, holding it together is JPJ as usual, blame it on Phil Collins on you like, but Led Zeppelin were not playing well the day. The Cream Reunion? Was alright I suppose, but what about their performances AFTER the Albert Hall, Madiston Square Gardens or something, even Clapton admits it was bad. Plus, the bands you mentioned only manage a couple of one of reunions - I'm not aruging that the Police were better than those two bands, the Police were never a rock band, but for tainted new wave you could never beat them - sure this tour suffered from a bit too much of Sting's solo pretense but c'mon, watch the Rio gigs, they may have lost a tiny bit of energy in there performanes and yes, the first two thirds of the tour were not tight at all, but thew last tour you caught a glimpse of the band they used to be, the songs were re-arranged and slower, but they still had the fire, it was akin to Eric Clapton's Unplugged in alot of ways. In short, they're not mediocre. POSTED: 09/17/2008 - 12:42 pm / quote |

Why you're just a cynical little teenager, aren't you? You hate artists because they make a lot of money and talk about Led Zeppelin. You are not the least bit cliche. Your comment is completely worthless.
Anyways....I would much rather have heard they were releasing a better DVD of concert footage while they were still in their prime. The stuff that is out there right now is not that satisfying because of the quality or the content. From what I can tell, The Police were pretty rusty during the reunion which wasn't unexpected, but I will only pay for a tight performance if it is on DVD. Just for the record, Led Zeppelin was just as rusty during their reunions. The music business should just let these old prioneers be. You don't push an old war veteran to go back to war.POSTED: 09/17/2008 - 12:54 pm / quote |

Are you saying The Police aren't good?! They have produced some of the best and most recognisable pop songs of all time and for the record i saw them twice on their reunion tour and it was worth every penny both times, so i don't know what your talking about.

your comment fails, and I am looking forward to buying this, seeing i couldnt pay 200 dollars for tickets. My cousin went to see them a while back and said they still have it. POSTED: 09/17/2008 - 05:56 pm / quote |

All I can say is that you sound like an idiot.
Anyway, The Police are awesome. I like them a lot, and thats a bit rare out of all the non-metal bands I like.POSTED: 09/18/2008 - 12:36 am / quote |

: I saw them three times on this reunion tour and they were awesome everytime. I was only two when they broke up so I have nothing to compare it to, but those guys are amazing musicians which is why this tour worked in the first place POSTED: 09/18/2008 - 09:30 am / quote |

Will someone smack this guy for me? Zeppelin are past their prime, The Police still sound as good on the DVD as ever before. And they aren't milking it; alot of us fans didn't get the chance to see them.POSTED: 12/01/2008 - 07:16 am / quote |
