The Strokes Hit The Studio To Work On 'New Ideas'
The Strokes have started work on new material, just a month after the release of their fourth album "Angles". Bassist Nikolai Fraiture confirmed the New York band entered the studio on April 25 to "work on some new ideas". Writing on his Twitter page, he said: "Super excited to go in to the studio today and work on some new ideas! I'll keep you posted." He later clarified that the sessions were with his main band rather than his side-project Nickel Eye, tweeting: "For The Strokes, of course!" The sessions follow on from Fraiture's recent announcement that the band planned to head into the studio this month. Frontman Julian Casablancas has also said the band are keen to get on with new material "as soon as possible". Thanks for the report to NME.com.
