Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has hinted that The Transplants, the punk / hip-hop supergroup that features himself, Rancid's Tim Armstrong, and "Skinhead Rob" Aston, are set to return with new music in 2010.
The band last released "Haunted Cities" in 2005 via Hellcat Records.
The two Transplants full lengths have featured a number of guests artists including Rancid's Matt Freeman and Lars Frederiksen, The Slackers' Vic Ruggiero, Sen Dog and B-Real of Cypress Hill, Eric Ozenne of The Nerve Agents, Davey Havok of AFI, and Rakaa Iriscience of Dilated Peoples among others.
There's no word yet on when the new record is planned for or who will be involved.
Thanks for the report to Punknews.org.
This is amazing news and hopefully it holds up. The first album was great. Second album...not so much.
