Vocalist Jarno "Jape" Perätalo of the Finnish gothic metal band To/Die/For has issued the following update:
"Here we are in Finland, I got [the] Cubase program [a series of MIDI, music sequencer and digital audio editing computer applications] and I am creating some new music with it.
"We do not know when we will start to rehearse again with TO/DIE/FOR. This 'break' makes me fucking bored. Seems like there is no life without shows and now when it's wintertime, it makes me very depressed so… I think it's time to create the darkest TO/DIE/FOR album..."
To/Die/For's fifth album, "
Wounds Wide Open", was released in Finland in October 2006. The follow-up to 2005's "
IV", "
Wounds Wide Open" was recorded by Samu Oittinen at Fantom Studios and by Jari-Jukka Nippala at Sonic Image, and was mixed at Sweden's Abyss Studios by Peter Tägtgren (Dimmu Borgir, Celtic Frost).
Nuclear Blast earlier in the year reissued To/Die/For's "All Eternity" (2000) and "Epilogue" (2001) albums as a double-CD package. The cover art can be viewed at this location.
